I couldn’t be more over fast hotels with bad lighting. I wanted cozy and homey. Peri Social House delivered. Stunning decor. Gorgeous coffee shop and bar inside. If you’re a hotel guest, lattes and specialty coffee at the bar are on the house. That’s enough to make me come back, but the service was also exceptional. The owner made us feel so welcome and even let us switch rooms to the quieter side overlooking the courtyard, since our original room was on the main road side. The coffee shop is closed Tuesdays but the owner texted me that two free coffee drinks would be waiting for us at a local coffee shop. Like, what? That’s service. Free snacks and La Croix for guests in the upstairs foyer. Bed was ultra comfy. AC super cold and super quiet. Door in hallway does slam shut periodically, but they have ear plugs if you need them. This place is fab and we will be back!

Really nice ambiance and fun coffee combinations. Some of the cocktails also sounded amazing, but we just stopped in for coffee! If you have littles, there’s an awesome little play space out back for kiddos to run around in and get dirty.

Just hosted a birthday party here and it was a great experience. Their team was super flexible and easy to communicate with. And they have a few different spaces you can use. They set up a really cute s’mores table too! A true charmer right in the heart of Black Mountain and the perfect vibe for fall.

My husband and I hosted our wedding reception at Peri Social House and stayed a couple nights in the hotel and loved every bit of it. Kat and Trevor were wonderful – super easy to work with, lots of fun to be around, and have curated a truly special space. Prices for venue rental were incredible. They go above and beyond to make their hotel guests comfortable and ensured we had everything we needed. On top of everything else, they’ve got the best espresso martinis around!

My fiancé and I booked a last-minute trip to visit family over Thanksgiving weekend, and it turned out to be the best decision we could’ve made. The hotel is beautiful—small, unique, and full of charm. They even had live music on Saturday, which made the atmosphere feel magical.

Katherine and her staff are truly exceptional. They think of every little detail to make your stay as memorable and comfortable as possible. We absolutely loved our room, and Peri’s will definitely be our go-to place every time we return to Black Mountain.

We’re already looking forward to booking again for the fall season next year!

We stayed in the Holman room at Peri Social for a night for holly jolly. The room was perfect! So cozy and comfortable. Check in was super easy – I got an email with a door code. There were so many thoughtful touches around the property. Loved the snacks and can’t wait to stay here again soon!

Celebrated a wedding here and stayed the weekend. The facilities are beautiful with care to many details. Well setup rooms and comfortable. Lots of areas to sit and chat . Nice continental breakfast, great coffee and drinks at bar. Staff is attentive, friendly and so hardworking! Pizza truck is delicious and a great addition. Many excellent cocktails and loved having non-alcoholic special drink options too.

This place is one of my favorite spots around Asheville. It has comfortable couches, tables, and a cozy outdoor fire area. The staff is friendly and clearly invested in making people feel comfortable.

I don’t drink alcohol, and really appreciate how thoughtful they are about non-alcoholic options. They have great NA drinks in the cooler as well as a list of mocktails they can shake up. One of the bartenders doesn’t drink either and always has helpful mocktail suggestions. It really makes a huge difference feeling included instead of like an afterthought.

I love coming here on dates, with friends and family, or just to unwind with a book. I’ll bring my laptop sometimes to get some work done. I’m so glad this place exists, it’s a gem to have nearby.

I returned this afternoon from a four night stay at Peri Social House. I cannot express how impressed I was with the hotel and the owners. Kathryn and Trevor went out of their way to accommodate our needs and make our stay exceptional. I arrived on Thursday for a Welcome party I hosted for my niece, who was getting married. Kathryn went out of her way to help make everything perfect.
I stayed in the third floor room and it was amazing. Not a detail missed. I had the opportunity to see inside other rooms and all were beautifully appointed with every detail carefully considered.
As an interior designer, I appreciate the effort, time and thought that went into the room decor as well as the main level living spaces. The bar, sunroom and front living room were all so cozy and inviting. We had excellent drinks and service.
The next morning Hurricane Helene hit, we lost power but Trevor went above and beyond to make everyone comfortable. He welcomed strangers who had been stranded on I40 to use his porch, facilities and gave out milk to families with kids. When our venue for the wedding reception was a casualty of the storm, he allowed us to have the wedding reception at Peri Social House.
I will always stay at Peri Social when I come to Black Mountain. Kathryn and Trevor built Peri Social together with passion and love. They make you feel like family. Thank you both for an amazing experience.

Peri Social House is such a gem! We stayed in The Terrace, attic penthouse for a girls’ weekend in December 2024, and it was an incredible experience. The location is perfect—an easy walk to everything in downtown Black Mountain. The vibe is vibrant and eclectic, and the hotel concept is so unique.

The on-site Abbiocco Pizza food truck is a must-try; their pizza is phenomenal. We loved the cozy fireplace in our room, the clawfoot tub shower, and the efficiency kitchen that had everything we could ever need. The secure keyless combo entry to all rooms and doors made everything feel safe.

The open pantry on the 2nd floor is genius—complimentary soda water, snacks, toiletries, and Keurig coffee were such a thoughtful touch. Yes, it can get a bit lively downstairs since it’s a bar with a happy crowd of all ages, but it wasn’t overwhelming. Just know parking can be a little tight on weekends.

Trevor and Kathryn have truly thought of everything to make this space special, and it shows! This place has such a cool, welcoming vibe, similar to their amazing glamping campground in Marion, Gold River | camp + cabins (which I also highly recommend).

If you’re looking for a memorable stay in Black Mountain, this is it! We’ll definitely be back for a warm weather stay.
