I came in excited for Puerto Rican and Cuban food and left wondering if salt is illegal in this kitchen.
The rice was bland, the beans somehow had negative flavor, and the tostones were the worst I’ve ever had in my life… dry, sad, and completely unseasoned. I’ve had better tostones from a freezer bag with no instructions.
The picanha looked gray, tasted old, and chewed like it had seen things. Even the mayo-ketchup was wrong, which is honestly impressive considering it’s just mayo, ketchup, and garlic. How do you mess up a condiment that requires zero cooking?
This place manages to be the worst of Puerto Rican and Cuban food at the same time… a culinary crossover no one asked for.
The staff was actually very nice and friendly, which makes this even more confusing. Great people, terrible food.
I won’t be back unless seasoning makes a surprise appearance.

Delicious!!! And the portions were big. My kids loved their chicken tenders, we loved the carne frita con mofongo. Their quesitos were OMG delicious! I would definitely go back and recommend anyone in the area to visit this place if they’re craving Puerto Rican food. The people working there were very polite and even made my night by giving me a slice of their tres leches cake for my birthday. Thank you!

We went there recently on a recommendation from a friend and we were definitely not disappointed! We ordered the Cuban and Tripleta sandwiches which were huge! We will be back! If you want to dine in, be sure to get there well before 7:00 PM. The drive-thru stays open until 10:00 PM, but the inside closes at 7:00 PM.

Spending the week in PCB and delighted to have found a restaurant with Cuban and Puerto Rican food dishes.
We ordered Ropa Vieja for both, hubby and I and a side of Arroz con Gandules, to go.
Tostones (flat crispy green plantains) were delicious. Dip them in the Ropa Vieja sauce or other two sauces they provide and it was a heavenly bite.
We enjoyed our meal by the PCB pier while watching the sun setting. Sat at a picnic table where 2 other ladies were sitting and were gracious to be okay with us sitting with them…and after some good talks…eventually asked “what were you all eating? It smells so good!”
I proudly said “Oh, it is Cuban food we got from a place not far from the pier and told then the name!
Deliciously Caribbean flavor like the ones I grew up as a child!
Will definitely come back for a Mofongo, before we return home to Georgia on Friday! ❣️

My wife and I were traveling in Florida for a mini road trip from Chicago and found this joint along the way. The food at this place was excellent! My wife had chicharon, white rice, and red beans. I had the Red Snapper, white rice, and salad. We also ordered besitos de yuca and maduros. It was all excellent. The plates were big. We took some back to the hotel and I ate the remainder in the evening. I’ve tasted a lot of different foods, especially Puerto Rican food being from Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood and I got to say that this place was pretty good.

Woo! That was a tasty meal! The decor is nice. The atmosphere is comfortable. The service comes with a smile.
I had a tamales cubanos and the ropa vejia with arroz & grandules. All I can say is if you haven’t had a cuban tamale before, this will reset your expectations. That was delicious! And that beef was so juicy and flavorful. It paired great with the rice. This was the best meal I’ve eaten all week here. Will definitely return!

We have been hunting all over Panama City and Panama City Beach for a truly great Cuban sandwich, and up until yesterday we had only found good ones. Not great. Then we walked into Boricuba Cafe and everything changed. This place absolutely blew us away. My wife ordered the Cuban and I got the tripleta, and both sandwiches were out of this world. Fresh, huge, packed with flavor, and honestly some of the best sandwiches we have ever had anywhere.
The atmosphere inside was perfect. Clean tables, spotless floor, friendly staff, and that upbeat Puerto Rican and Cuban music playing in the background that just made you feel good. It set the tone the second we walked in. Everyone greeted us with a smile and treated us like regulars even though it was our first time. You can tell these folks take real pride in what they do.
We drove over 30 minutes to get there, and by the time we finished eating we already knew we were taking extra sandwiches home with us. Gave one to my son and he had the exact same reaction. First bite and he was asking where we got it from and when he can go.
Boricuba Cafe is the real deal. Fantastic food, generous portions, great people, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. Easily the best Cuban sandwiches we have found in the area. We are already planning our next trip.

Thankfully we found this place on our first night here!! From the start the service was so friendly and welcoming. The girls were constantly making sure we had everything we needed and that the food was to our satisfaction. The food was so much more!!! Real authentic food. It was like being back home in PR or Cuba! We had croquetas, a side of tostones (huge and crispy), Cuban sandwiches, the best cortaditos (coffee), and a flan. The sandwiches were delish and big. We couldn’t eat but half each. We had four cortaditos because it was the best coffee we have had in a while. Wow!! And the flan, the flan was smooth drizzled with a perfectly masters caramel. It was heavenly. Also the prices are really good on your wallet. If you are in town, you have to come by!! They will start opening for breakfast soon too!! Keep an eye out and come by!
