I ordered from door dash. It was delivered quickly. was not salty. We ordered the lowest spice possible. My husband and I work full time. I love to cook but was stuck in a major accident today. We loved it. My husband is very picky. And he enjoyed the chicken. Definitely will order again. Thank you tex’s.

when i tell you this food hit it hit it was so good thank you to everyone that helps make this amazing place better everyday the food not only was it nice and hot it was soo good i walked out of that place contented of how my meal came out i was so very satisfied idk if i was js hungry but damn was that food good and not only that but the team there all so kind they were very respectful and polite and last but not least big shoutout to BILAL he was so kind to help me he did not fail to make me laugh very friendly great costumer service appreciate him for helping me out. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Tex’s Chicken & Burgers is now open in Patchogue, and as someone who has been going to the Hillside Avenue location in Queens for years, I was excited to see them expand. The taste and quality are just as good as always, which isn’t always the case with new locations.
The restaurant is very clean and the food tasted fresh. Bilal, the manager, provided outstanding service, he overheard my order and made sure we got the smash burgers even though they weren’t officially available in Patchogue yet. That really stood out. We tried the Hell Style smash burger and highly recommend it.
Great to see a Queens classic maintain its standards. We’ll definitely be back!
P.S. A quick heads up for drivers: the parking lot entrance has a divider that’s easy to miss, especially at night. I drove right over it on my first visit. Not Tex’s fault, but property management should make it more visible since it can easily catch drivers off guard.

There’s days I come here when certain workers are not working and have absolutely no issues whatsoever. When this employee that has something personal against me she will do everything in her power to make sure the experience is completely horrible. I order the same thing everytime I go and never have issues about which pieces of chicken I can have with the new 11$ deal they have for four pieces of chicken. I usually just like drumsticks but one employee was nice enough to give me a breast earlier in the week and that was very nice of him probably because of limited chicken they had and he wanted to accommodate and not make me wait 20 minutes for chicken. I know this won’t be the experience each time but I was very thankful. This time I order the same and you guys had limited pieces of chicken again and I was asking for four pieces of spicy drumsticks. The new young lady had no issues but there wasn’t enough drumsticks so she asked if I preferred legs and thighs. I told her I didn’t eat thighs but asked if she can offer a breast. I guess because she is new she asked The general manager of the store which is also very nasty. She was going to give me four drumsticks with no problem and then when she asked him he scolded her and told her she cannot do that meanwhile they do it for me at every other location with no issues and sometimes at this location when these specific employees are not working. The general manager literally denied me service and left the front counter and told me he is not servicing me because there was no where on the display he can show me where it only says legs and thighs only. On the 4 for 5 is the only promo where it says that. So he got very mad and told me he is not serving me. You guys are supposed to be providing customer service for daily customers who enjoy eating at your location not making it hard for them to simply eat lunch on their break. What had this world come too where you are now demanding people eat certain pieces of meat they don’t like and limit their dipping sauces and just make the experience for them totally horrible. You guys need to learn better customer service training and learn how to accommodate frequent customers especially when your chicken options are limited at the time of ordering. Lunch is very busy so more chicken should be available at these times. I will keep my rating one star for this location until they understand the importance of a happy customer.

I’ve been coming here on my lunch since they opened with no issues at all. The same women that works at Popeyes not works at this location and is very nasty and always causing issues for me. I order the 4 for 5$ almost daily on my lunch and only like drumsticks which is less meat. They always give it to me with no issue and now this women is giving me an issue telling me they can’t do it for me no moving forth. This is very frustrating to experience when you are just simply trying to eat your lunch peacefully and this women has something personal against me my two favorite places to eat for lunch and I won’t ever go back because of this women’s horrible customer experience. She doesn’t make the trip pleasant at all she should not be working in fast food proving such horrible experience for the customer that they don’t even want to come back.

It’s Disappointing that the staff that I used to see all the time I don’t see anymore is disappointing that the fact that these people are treating people so rudely now, and giving so much bad customer service. I remember when the guy bilal use to be there all the time he used to give me such great Customer service and to everybody that used to be there as well with me. It’s very sad that I don’t see that customer service anymore and won’t be coming back because I see the reviews and nothing is changing. It seems like nothing is getting done and nobody’s getting talked to. This is not professional at all.

The regular chicken was excellent. It was very hot even when l got it home (5 minutes). It’s very similar to KFC extra crispy. I asked for two thighs and a leg but got two legs and a thigh. The biscuit was great. Buttery and warm. I bought three sides. Mac and cheese, luke warm and not very good. Mashed potatoes and gravy were okay, not hot at all. Corn was almost cold. So needless to say the sides were almost inedible. The pumpkin pie desert was okay. I’d definitely buy the chicken and biscuits again but provide my own sides.

I gave it another go.
I ordered the $11 meal deal of a four piece meal with two sides and a biscuit. I chose coleslaw. The chicken was as expected. Piping hot and delicious. Biscuit warm and buttery. The coleslaw was excellent as well. Plenty of food for two people. Thanks!!

The manager Bilal here really cares about saving people money. I once had an order go up to $18 and change. He told me about how I can combo things to save money. He got my order down to like $12. Great dude great business.

I dont care if this sounds like a joke, but you know that scene from Ratatouille when the food critic gets a flashback to his own childhood when he eats the food? That’s what happened when I had the fire roasted corn.
This corn tastes like the 90’s, in a good way. Like when you just got out of your friends above ground pool, run inside and slip on the linoleum floor while still wet and cold, but your friends mom just finished making dinner, and he asks if you can sleep over. Also you ask why the A/C is so high but she says “It’s July, not all of us are soaking wet.”
The burger isnt bad either. The buns are potato bread and definitely fresh, and the secret sauce has a bit of heat, so be aware if you’re sensitive to spice.

Bilal took my order and he was super polite, patient, and made sure everything was right. He had great customer service and a really positive attitude, which made the whole experience better. My food came out fresh and exactly how I asked for it. You can tell he actually cares about the customers. Definitely deserves recognition for his hard work!
