The downtown market is one of Grand Rapid’s main attractions. Who doesn’t like a place where they can bring their friends and family all with different culinary tastes and everyone still finds something they love? The sushi market is a great stop! I highly recommend going around lunch hours to benefit from their specials where they have 2 and 3 roll combos at a great price. I also highly recommend getting any roll made into a sushi burrito. You can get their fanciest roll made into a sushi burrito, but all sushi burritos are about $16 out the door; this means you can get the price of a premium roll, fill up for a meal, and not break the bank. The service is always fast paced and sometimes they offer free tea and miso soup to their customers. You can’t go wrong eating here.

You would be hard pressed to find some better sushi in the Midwest. There are only a handful of really good places sushi places I’ve been in and around Michigan, and this is one of them. We had some sashimi and a few different rolls right at the sushi bar. Both the food and service were exceptional. If you are good with the busy market vibe, drop in and have some great sushi. Let me start with how the staff is amazing. Every time I go here they are always smiling and friendly. Then we get to the food. This sushi is absolutely outstanding! Some of the best I’ve had around here in a long time. thing I didn’t like is the salmon sushi seemed a little fisher than normal. Wasn’t a huge fan of it. But everything else was amazing!

The rice was fresh and the ingredient were a great quality for the price. It also was made really quickly so it’s a good lunch spot. Rice was a body temperature and fish was chilled which most places don’t get right so I enjoyed that. Also the staff was very attentive.

This is my favorite lunch option in Grand Rapids (downtown area). I like being able to get in and out quickly, and the two-roll combo is $9. There are a lot of options. My favorites are the spicy tuna and Philadelphia rolls. The ingredients are always fresh, the employee working to take orders is always very friendly, and they are efficient and quick.
I also noticed they have a handful of rolls that can be made gluten free.
