Pana food truck catered our pre-wedding park day and we can absolutely recommend working with them! German was so kind and responsive throughout the planning process. He was detail oriented and responded to all of our questions leading up to the big day. On the day of the event, the food truck arrived early to set up and all staff members were professional and friendly. All of the guests (over 100!! ) were talking about how delicious the arepas and plantains were, and the team was able to accommodate a variety of dietary needs. Don’t think twice if you’re considering Pana! The food is AMAZING!!

First time having Arepas. It was really good. Had the chicken, cheese with Avo and mayo. I was really surprised that the chicken was tender and juicy not overcooked. The sauce was the perfect amount and I will definitely be back. The kiosk ordering from the main room at Cooper house made ordering very convenient

We’ve been eating at Pana’s food truck for several years now and we consistently get the best tasting arepas hands down! I always get vegetarian and my husband gets chicken or beef. Such good flavor in all and the masa/shell is so tender and also has savory flavor! All their sauces are delicious but my favorite is the garlic sauce, I order a couple for the side and use for my plantains too. They are very filling! One is all either of us can finish! We also share plantains and I have one of their fresh squeezed juices! Always a great choice! At any of their locations!

Ordering Experience:
Pana Food Truck provided catering for our in-house event in Palo Alto, accommodating an indoor setup without the actual truck. They were flexible and attentive to our budget needs.
Food Quality:
We selected boxed lunches featuring arepas and two sides. The ingredients were fresh and healthy, and everyone appreciated that the meal was light and easy to digest—no discomfort afterward.
Service & Communication:
The team’s communication was excellent both before and during the event. I was able to reach them easily whenever I had questions or needed support.

Absolutely LOVED that we found Pana. My wife eats gluten free and when I found Pana’s IG I definitely wanted to try them out. It’s nice to take a visit to Santa Cruz for lunch. I’ve chatted with German and found out they are opening a place in SJ. Not knowing what to expect since it was our first time trying Pana, so we were happy that the food was amazingly delicious and the restaurant crew was awesome with their recommendations. Certainly will visit again in SC and even better in SJ. German, Thank You for creating and sharing such delicious gluten free options.

Their food is amazing! I really love papelon, Venezuelan lemonade, I’ve never tasted this great taste before, can feel special cane sugar and lemonade, which was not too sour or sweet. For the pabellón, it was also excellent. It was my first time to try plantain, the big banana, which might be my favorite add-in here. I will come back definitely.

We went there because we had heard about Pana from fellow vegans in the area. They had one vegan arepa, which my wife and I both ordered. It was such a perfect plantain dish. Vegan or not, it is amazing. I think another vegan arepa could be added to the menu.

Maybe I ordered at a bad time? My arepas were pretty dry, stale, and under seasoned. I ordered the pabellon which comes with beef, plantain, cheese, and black beans. The masa was dry and a little stale. The beef needed seasoning and wasnt the most tender. Even my dog wasn’t stoked to try some. I love plantain, its my favorite food but some of it was way overcooked and hard. I couldn’t taste the beans honestly so I took them out, it was unnecessary. I also ordered the catira which is shredded chicken and cheese. The chicken was super dry and under seasoned. Same issue with the masa. I got all the sauces – spicy, guasakaka (aka wasakaka), and garlic. The garlic sauce was very very good but not unique. I ate the most of this one. Guasakaka is an avocado base and tasted store bought (almost like herdez or something idk). Spicy sauce was my least favorite. It had a ok amount of spice (not lingering at all) but was too bitter. I did order a Papelon as well but they forgot it sadly. Also keep in mind the arepas are pretty expensive and not super filling. I’m glad I got 2. But realistically their arepas should all be $2 cheaper. Unless this really was just a bad day for them. Not really willing to give them another go though.
