Apple bourbon bbq sauce is great. Cornbread has pieces of corn in it and with the maple butter was amazing. Meats are great without sauces. Im gonna try adding the suggested bacon next time. Only bad thing is it’s closed on Monday’s.

A BBQ place in New York..who woulda thunk? I got the pulled pork with corn bread and roasted brussel sprouts. This place has not heard of plates. So they use trays. Its not Sonnys BBQ down south..but still the food was good.

I had been wanting to get to this place for a while. I’m always on the hunt for good, authentic BBQ. I was floored by how good the food is. Baby back ribs were some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfect. Smoked sausage had such flavor and snap. The sides were crazy good. Mac & cheese w/ bacon. Oooph. The staff were super friendly and very cool. My 9 year old son said “these were the best bites of food I’ve ever had.” Very reasonable prices, super clean, 4 styles of home made BBQ sauces and the Strawberry Lime Hot Sauce on the table were all out of this world.

We just moved to the area a few weeks ago and the first place we tried was Northen Smoke. Everything we had was delicious. We got the sampler. Highly recommend the baby back ribs! They were perfectly cooked. The sauces are great too and everyone was super nice inside. We ordered food to go another night which says a lot (we are the stay home and wait for delivery type) so for us to drive over there means it was worth it. We tried almost everything, the only problem is deciding what to get, but then they have the sampler so you don’t need to decide. We had to have a discussion about how many times a month we can patronage due to our budget. Keep up the good work.

Some of the best barbecue I’ve ever had. All of the meats were tender and accented with crispy bits. The sides are great as well; fresh cornbread served maple butter is first rate. They also have a few taps of craft beer.
Came here with the in-laws, we all shared the Pitmaster for ~$80, and it fed all four of us easily, with plenty of leftovers to take home. Well worth it.

We’ve been here three times now and each time has been better than the last! This time we got the Cuban sandwich and the BBQ Philly. Both were fantastic. The choice of sauces is unmatched and the Apple Bourbon is particularly great. The wings were to die for. They are smoked, then fried and it creates a delicious, unique flavor. The service here continues to be flawless (which is incredible because it’s not really a sit-down service place) and as friendly as can be. Our server chatted us up some about the wings, then offered us a free sample of their in-development hot wing sauce, which was delicious and very hot but not overwhelming. Can’t wait to taste the final product on a full batch of wings. It is dangerous that this place is so close to our home. Can’t wait to get back there again and continue to have it as regular dining out staple.

I’m a Northeasterner who has been to both Texas and KC and I definitely have a strong preference for Texas style BBQ. This place was great…meat cooked nicely and let the diner choose from one of the excellent sauces, or even just eat it without. Best BBQ place I’ve been to in the NE. Recommend the ribs and pulled pork.

The barbecue at Northern Smoke is excellent. There is a nice yet casual atmosphere for dining at the restaurant and pickup available if desired. BBQ sauces are excellent, staff is attentive, beer options plentiful (including a tap!) and overall a great atmosphere. I endeavor to come often as a local.
Baby back ribs are supreme and can be hard to get on the weekends (generally available, but demand can outstrip supply at peak hours). Sides are great and the “small” portions in a sampler for two are generally enough to have plenty of leftovers.
They’re still working through their menu and I recently had the opportunity to try smoked pastrami, which I hope becomes a part of the regular menu!
