This used to be Susie’s Cafe. It re-opened June 3, 2024, as Emmy Lou’s Cafe, with Susie’s friendly efficient experienced staff plus the new owner (Nicole) and members of her family. Expanded menu, expanded hours — 6 AM to 9 PM most days. We had the “piggy piggy sandwich” — pulled pork, bacon, and ham — and the chicken caesar salad. Everything was excellent. We’ll come back soon in the morning (before 10:30) for omelettes and french toast. They also have ice cream. Emmy Lou, by the way, is the owner’s youngest child, less than a year old and the cutest baby you’ve ever seen. If you prefer a family restaurant to a chain, this is the place.

Omelet was burnt had pay extra for toast and home fries brought out just the Omelet payed 7.50 plus the price off coffee. Most restaurants you get Omelet toast home fries coffee for. About 9.50 I worked as a short order cook for. 30 years never Sean any like I was told toast was extra if I want to pay for it. Because bread products cost is up. I do not recommend this place at all unless you want to pay for every thing separate 95 per can’t and will not do that

Prices seem to be too high for quality/portion size. Paid $8 for a bacon and cheddar omelette, no toast served with it, minimal bacon maybe 1 strip used and minimal cheddar cheese. Omelette small and the price did not match with quality/portion.

Food is mediocre but the worst part of this place is the way they make it known how racist and crude they are. The way they talked about former First Lady Michelle Obama well I wonder if they would have been so vulgar if a black person was in there. There was more but I think I’ve made my point. I wasn’t a regular but have been there many times when it was Susie’s. I made sure they knew that I would never come back.

This is a beautiful diner with amazingly good food. I haven’t been disappointed. I would highly recommend the eggs, quiche, pancakes, and dessert. Can’t wait to go back for dinner sometime.
