I was a little hesitant to order a vegetarian dish from a “Bar and Grill,” but the Vegetarian Tacos at Dove Tail Bar and Grill were a fantastic surprise. The tacos were a vibrant, flavorful mix of fresh ingredients, and the grilled corn was a delicious touch. The menu said one taco, so I was thrilled when two arrived. I had already devoured the first one before I even thought to take a picture! The side of house-pickled pickles was also a tasty and unique addition. The atmosphere is comfortable and open, with good music and a nice flow to the outside. Prices are also very reasonable for the Door County area.

The walleye was the best we’ve had anywhere: perfectly crispy, tender, and full of flavor. And the bread pudding? Next-level. Warm, rich, and absolutely unforgettable. Hands down the best meal of our trip. If you’re anywhere nearby, do not skip this place.

We are glad we stopped in for dinner a little off the beaten path. Don’t be hesitant to head to the back of the attached fuel station. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience from start to finish. Our server, Lorena, was super friendly and helped us choose the popular and ultra delicious. I had the Door County smoked turkey sandwich. One of the best I’ve had. Generous slices of premium Brie, layered with equally generous (but not overpowering) dollops of cherry compote, grilled to perfection on sourdough. The fries were standard, but perfectly crisped and salted. My husband had the Dovetail burger, which he claimed was awesome. We couldn’t resist their single dessert offering, cherry bread pudding, paired with whipped cream and caramel sauce. I love how their menu is small, specializing in what appears to be tried-and-true winners. On a side note, the space is comfortable, from the seating, to the large windows/retractable garage-like doors, and pleasant ambient music that’s not too loud. I recently visited the Dovetail Bar and Grill at 10282 WI-57, in Sister Bay, WI. I found this place which is odd the main drag of Sister Bay on a Google search. Lucky me. I ordered to Door County turkey sandwich which was off the chain delicious. Brie cheese on sourdough with a cherry compote made it great. The beer selection was also very good. My server was very nice and helpful in my meal selections. I would consider it a must go.

I don’t do 5 stars often, but omg this place is amazing. I’ve been here twice now while in the area. The food is unique, flavorful, and fresh. The service has been friendly and fast. The overall feel is modern and clean with a hint of whimsy.

FANTASTIC experience with great food and such kind staff. Went over here hoping for a. it less busy of a lunch and it was perfect. Nice draft beers, and a full bar with some nice signature cocktails. Food was quick to come to the table and delicious. I like how the sandwich toppings are served on the side and the fries are the bomb. Theresa is such a fun and friendly person.

Super fun find in Sister Bay off Hwy 57! Part of Dovetail Campground but a great place to stop in and grab a bite to eat. Great for a casual meal and a drink – full bar with plenty of options available! Live music on Saturday nights in summer. Nice open space and very friendly staff! Will be back! (And the pickles are amazing!)

This is the true definition of GLAMPING! Located at the entry of Sister Bay’s newest campground, with an upscale elegant feel. Beautifully decorated. Great bar. If you are lucky enough to be there when he has live music, you will really enjoy the intimate feel. The hospitality team really took great care of us. Drinks were flowing, our waitress never missed a beat even though the place was jam-packed. We had fun buying drinks for the musicians. Don’t discount the elegance of this bar just because of the location. Highlight of the night, we were able to get a 92 yr old woman on the dance floor and everyone made her feel special. Great staff! Our bar bill far exceeded the dinner cost. So $50 a person was pretty accurate. Enjoy!

Went in early November and the food was phenomenal. We had the turkey sandwich, burger and the bread pudding – all of which blew us away. I can see the space being more welcoming in the summer when the doors can be open and the patio space used. Will definitely visit again
