Bayseas may be known for its seafood, but don’t overlook the rest of the menu—because the fried pork chops are absolutely outstanding.
I ordered the pork chop plate and was served two large, generously portioned chops with two sides. From the first bite, it was clear these were done right: hot, juicy, perfectly seasoned, and fried to a golden crisp without being greasy. The exterior had that ideal crunch, while the inside stayed tender and full of flavor—a textbook example of how fried pork chops should be made.
Portions were hearty, the food came out fresh, and everything tasted like it was cooked with care rather than rushed out of the kitchen. Bayseas delivers comfort food quality that rivals any place in town, even beyond their seafood reputation.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The catfish we had was made fresh to order and did not take long. The kool-aid and lemonade blend is a must have drink. Mac n cheese was delicious. The corn bread sealed the deal. Fresh warm corn bread with butter and pinch of cinnamon. My wife and I had a fantastic lunch experience. Thank you

Our first time visiting Bayseas. The resturaunts was clean. The staff was friendly and polite. We had the 3 piece and 5 piece Catfish meals. The Catfish was perfectly cooked, nice sized pieces.

Smaller place, so tables are super close to each other. We got catfish & shrimp and a different type of fried fish & shrimp. You definitely get enough fish & they butterfly the shrimp. But they put the fish straight from the grease on top of the French fries so the fries are soaked in grease & not good. This place wasn’t bad but it was not great either.

Picked up an order to go and the service was super friendly / helpful and the catfish was delicious. Way better than J Anthony’s and Laguna Madre’s. Restaurant was also clean. I definitely will be a repeat customer. They just need to market so more people know that they are off Culebra near (inside) 1604. Pricing was very decent and better than the competition.

Everything was great! I loved that even though I called ahead for takeout, they made my food fresh while I waited in the restaurant. My Trout combo was excellent! I’d never had fried oysters before, but I definitely will again. There is a good variety on the menu at decent prices, plus $14.99 Comfort Food Lunch specials (meat and two sides) before 2pm. The “real” customer service was really nice too. I say “real” because even when I called in my order the ladies were professional and even told me to “be careful coming into the parking lot because there has been an accident and police are all over the parking lot.” She also asked for me ETA and said there might be a slight wait because they were really busy. They offer an option to debone the fish for $1. I can appreciate good food from friendly people who take pride in their craft. I’m definitely going back for the smothered pork chops 😀

One of the newest Bayseas Restaurant in SA. A must try this place. Delicious Louisiana style catfish and shrimp seafood period! Great atmosphere with good customer service and good soul A very family friendly welcome to Bayseas by the door you walked in. Big portion for the reasonable . Great food here.
A big shout to Al the chef, Destiny and the Hill Family’s for a delicious and enjoyable experience. Definitely coming back and try more seafood and oysters in the menu.

Visiting from NC and saw how great the reviews were for this place, and I’m so glad I went! I tried their catfish and shrimp, some of the best I’ve ever had. I was not disappointed and the young ladies at the counter were very nice and helpful.

This was our first time here but for sure won’t be the last. Saw it on TikTok and had to come try it out! Glad we did because everything was delicious and the staff was so friendly. They say they’ve only been open a couple months but they were pretty steady while we were there so I hope they stick around for a long time. Good music playing too. Posting pics…sorry about the okra picture but it was devoured so fast didn’t get a before picture
