The food was absolutely amazing, fresh, delicious, and hot! Our waiter and servers were so friendly and took great care of us ! The alcohol beverages are amazing as well!!! We love the atmosphere and how Hugo and all of his employees treat us !

Hugo’s restaurant are always great for food and atmosphere. Have been going to this place and his other establishment for years. Had tge fajitas this time, but have enjoyed enchiladas and burritos in the past also. Margheritas are also very well made.

Stopped by Hugo’s because we loved his other restaurant in Florence when we lived there. Restaurant was clean and inviting.
We were seated and greeted immediately! Hot chips and spicy salsa were brought fresh to the table.
Menu had a lot of variety with a twist. Not your average Mexican menu!
I chose the Hawaiian Bowl. Seasoned steak, chicken, shrimp, pineapple and chorizo served over rice and whole beans with pico and cheese sauce.
This was amazing!! Couldn’t ask for a better meal!
Reasonably priced! Service was excellent! This would be our Mexican restaurant of chose if we still
lived here, hoping they expand to Birmingham. LOL
Stop in for an excellent meal and service, you won’t be disappointed!

First time eating and we did take out. Let me tell you my lips were smacking my gums it was so good. The right amount of heat and portions for the money. We had taco salad and they let you build your own if you take it out. By far one of the best Mexican restaurants in the florence area.

Ate thete 12/12/25 for dinner. The food prep was disappointing: We were served less than five minutes after ordering, not enough time to prep the dishes from scratch. I had beef Enchiladas suiza which used steak strips that had been cooked earlier and held in a warmer prior to serving. The steak was dry and tough and barely warm, the corn tortillas moderately warmer. No danger of burning your mouth on the food. Refried beams and rice were slightly above body temperature. My wife had a chimichanga variety which she enjoyed, but it was prepared earlier and warmed in a salamander and served on a hot plate to simulate freshness. All in all a Chipotle (without the quality) masquerading as a sit down restaurant.

Went here a few days ago during my vacation! Got Fajitas Jalisco! It was delicious and just how I like it. I would recommend trying here. Food was hot and salsa was good. Chips were a good thickness and texture.

First time visit and was pleasantly surprised. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and enjoyed a great meal at a good price. Food and service was excellent. My only gripe is with the parking lot. Only one handicapped spot and it appears Dollar General has laid claim to most of the parking spaces available, going so far as marking parking for DG customers only. That, and the chairs are not the most comfortable. But, we came for the food, and we’ll be back.

I had the Pollo Con Queso and my wife had a taco salad! BOTH were DELICIOUS! We had AMAZING service and we WILL eat here AGAIN!! We ate here on 11/2/24 around 3pm!
