5 stars got a big help from the very friendly service. This review is based on the fish sandwich. Great buttered and toasted roll, generous amount of fish in the sandwich. Served hot and fast. A bit bland tasting but pretty good overall. French fries are a miss and should be improved. Also the menu outside does not have the same prices as the menu inside. Overall would say it is worth a shot to try some fried seafood in central CT.

My husband is not a seafood eater, he enjoyed his cheeseburger, they have chicken tenders and Sabretts hotdogs as well. Warm welcome to Mom’s!!!

I took my father here today for father’s day. They’re a new restaurant so I’m going to give them a learning curve but recommend that they pick a system of how to handle their customers and their ordering system, no rhyme or reason at this point. However, they were nice, took care of every request, and the food was perfect, fresh, prepared well, and priced right. My Dad and I each had the Lobster bisque (i thought it was too hot), shrimp cocktail, prepared perfectly and very yummy cocktail sauce, and we each had a Connecticut Lobster Roll, packed with lobster and priced right, the french fries were perfect, i didnt like the cole slaw (no vinegar or bite of any kind). I know all of the negative things I said will be fixed occasionally and I can’t wait for my trip #2. The pilled high fried food dish pictured here is the guys next to us, they ordered th $50 huge fried seafood entree with EVERYTHING!!

Mom and I like to try new places and we are so glad we tried this one. Saw the other reviews on line, you really need to check it out. Food & staff very helpful. I ordered to fried shrimp and staff offered the special for a few dollars more I got the chowder and a drink with my meal. Mom already knows what she wants next time Will definitely be back. Prices are very reasonable. Our total was $28 plus a tip

I got the clam strips and oh my my the best ones I’ve had meaty and crispy!
My 3 y.o is autistic and only eats certain foods and he approves of the nuggies and fries there.
The owner was awesome too, so welcoming and made my daughter’s night by asking her to draw something to hang up and giving her some cotton candy that she spoke about all the way home.
I’m ine to stick to what I know with going out but, I am so glad we went out a tried here it is my new go to place!

Wife has been looking forward to trying for some time now. Finally visited and not disappointed at all. Ordered the Captain Platter and the variety was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Classic cheeseburger and fries were good also. Workers were attentive and personable. Overall, great experience.

Fist time there. We had the “Captains Platter” for 2. It comes with Scallops, Whole Belly($2.00 surcharge)Calamari, Clam Strips,Shrimp& Fish. You get 1 clam chowder, 1 drink 2 coleslaw and Fries for $50.00. The seafood was fresh. Generous portion. We couldn’t finish it. Thevl standouts were the shrimp. Very juicy. The fish was cooked opaque. Large pieces. Also we noticed a 2lb lobster dinner and clams on the half shell.
The people running it are very nice and in business 7 months. We support local businesses.Definitely will go back.

The food was delicious. The owner is awesome, very friendly and helpful. He gave your youngest a sample of the clams to see if he liked them and was super helpful with breaking down lobster and some great tools to make it easy.

Drive by this place daily. Decided to take a chance. Order clam strips lunch and lobster bisque. The clam strips were the best I’ve had in years. The lobster bisque is was perfectly cooked with plenty of lobster meat. Do your self a big favor and stop by. Very impressive.

Hot, fresh food with great service in a laid-back atmosphere. The breading on the clams and scallops was light and crispy. Nothing fried was greasy. even the fries and coleslaw were delicious! The prices were extremely reasonable. They also had daily specials and plenty of options for those not interested in seafood. The staff members were friendly and attentive. We can’t wait to go back!
