Reviews
The property and atmosphere are definitely excellent. The garden is clean and well kept, and the dining rooms are well appointed.
The hors d’oeuvres were well done. We got the bluefish bites and the wagyu tartare. Both used high quality meat, and were well seasoned with a kick, but not overly spicy. Drinks also were well done, but did not use the appropriate quality of ingredients considering their egregious prices.
The service and main dishes fell flat. Our server was distant and uninterested, and we found ourselves needing refills often. The main dishes were all under-seasoned and bland. I got the scallop dish. The scallops themselves were well done, but the sauce and accompanying vegetables were blanched and uninteresting. The salmon dish was the same, where the fish was properly cooked, but the dish was otherwise nearly devoid of flavor. Considering the exorbitant prices, I am disappointed with the quality of the main dishes and the lacking service. I expect significantly better for well over $100/person.
The garden is still amazing. The food was better. I wished they had more sharable appetizers. Bread was delicious. The best part they have an amazing desserts menu !!! Great job.
We tried 4 of 6, and they were amazing.
Previously, I gave them 3 stars, but they earned 4 all because of the amazing and multiple dessert options.
Unfortunately, not what i remembering…
First time back at this restaurant since 2020, and i was disappointed.
The garden is still amazing.
Drinks was ok … just ok.
Food except the appetizer who was special for the night wasn’t as good as i remember it. Flavor wasn’t there at all.
The bread that they started you with was overall my favorite.
They have a great dessert menu with options, but i wasn’t satisfied with what i tried.
Staff was friendly and you got enough attention during the dinner.
Should i go back there, i will, and if the food hit the spot, i will change my review.
Wait staff was attentive and friendly. The food was incredible with delicious rolls, flavorful salad, and entree with a blend of flavors that were incredibly satisfying.
The dessert of house made peach and blueberry cobbler with ice cream was perfect.
An impressive wine list is available to compliment the meal. A
very smooth coffee topped off the evening as a wonderful experience. If you visit Nantucket indulge in a visit to this enchanting establishment.
Food was nothing to write home about – menu/options were underwhelming, fries were not fully cooked, aioli was tasteless, burger was well done despite being ordered medium, steak came out dry and as if it had been cooked hours prior, and salad was not dressed. There are also no gluten free accommodations (how they don’t have gluten free bread is beyond me – this is Nantucket, even people’s dogs are GF!)
We also waited 90 minutes for our food to arrive. There were maybe 4 other (small) parties at the restaurant. It was insane.
Do not go here.
