BEST TACOS OF MY LIFE!!!!! Get the namesake Birria tacos, they are good size for $4 or get a combo with rice and beans! Seriously so good the meat was so tender and there was so much cheese without it being too greasy, came with cilantro onion and really great hot sauce. The girl taking orders was very friendly and patient asking questions and service was super fast!

We occasionally travel to California for one reason or another, and inevitably we stop in either Quartzite or Blythe (or both). This trip, we needed to find some lunch right around the time we reached Blythe, so we stopped at this taco place. We both chose their namesake combo and had 3 quesabirria tacos with rice and beans. They came with a side of onions, cilantro, and a lemon. There was also a choice of red or green salsa.
The tacos were definitely worth coming back for. The beans were just ranchero beans with little seasoning, and the rice looked like the typical, red, fluffy Mexican rice one often gets a Mexican restaurant. However, I found the rice to be really flavorful with a slightly smokey flavor. Both of us preferred the green salsa. My wife got a bottled coke and I tried the horchata. Apparently, they only have one 32 oz. size cup, so I ended up with a tankard of horchata. Good thing it was really tasty 🙂
One of my pet peeves about some taco shops is when they give you a sticky bottle of salsa that has clearly been used multiple times and has petrified salsa around the spout. I was glad to that they provided a nice clean bottle to use.
Overall, it was a welcome change from the numerous fast food places in Blythe, and it didn’t really take much longer to get our food. Thank you for the good meal!

Stopped by again after visiting 3 months ago! Totally worth the stop.
Still nothing fancy but the service was awesome this Memorial Day! Very old building but it’s surprisingly clean. Order at counter and seat yourself, The gal working this visit brought our food to the table. The tacos are still fantastic! Definitely the best bargain anywhere! The meats are so delicious and portions are generous. Definitely worth the cost. I was passing through and stopped in to eat. Last visit 3 months ago it was so good i ordered some to take to my husband. I live 2 hrs away so i heated it in the airfryer. He loved it! This time my husband was with me and he was so happy that we stopped so he could get a fresh made meal. I’m looking forward to going back next time I pass through. This is my go to now!

I have had a lot of Mexican food, but this is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The Quesabirria plate was delicious with home made tortillas, excellent quality meat and spices. The flavors in the consomé was the best I’ve had. This restaurant maintains a grade A for cleanliness with the county and the atmosphere is very nice. I wish I lived here, I would come every week!

If you’ve looking for a reason to stop in Blythe this is it. The carnitas quesadilla was amazing, tender and full of flavor. We also had tacos and rice.. equally delicious! Small, quaint and family owned off the road surprise.
