Typically I order Al La carte items – not dinners & generally pop in for lunch.
Order the 3 Tostadas as well as a side order of refried beans and then take 1.5-2 home for another meal.

First time dining here – we will be back. Delicious food, quick and kind service, fun vibe. $1.50 tacos on Tues & Thurs – the pollo tacos were our favorite as were the beans and rice.

Staff was very friendly and the ambience was wonderful. Most of there food is amazing, though the steak burrito i had was missing a bit on the flavor. My favorite of there’s are the El pastor tacos with pineapple which are super delicious. Also the red sauce they serve with chips is crazy good. Definitely will go back.

This weekends new to us restaurant was El Coco Loco Mexican Grill in West Chicago . I had chicken enchiladas with mole. This was some of the best mole sauce I’ve ever had. Seriously it was so good. Tim had carne asada and it fell apart. You barely had to chew it. George had a steak burrito which he said was very good and Dawn has fish tacos which she also said were really good. The queso fundido was pretty great as well.
That mole though. I will definitely go back for that.

what threw me off is how they have the promotion for $1.50 tacos but if you want the cilantro and onion on the side they will charge you full price. Doesn’t make sense. If I have on the taco, it’s the promotion but having it on the side, isn’t? And to top it off .. there was a customer infront of me and was saying how a certain topping was extra charge. And the customer tried to explain that he did not get told that. The guy infront with glasses processed to tell him that this is the United States, everything is a charge, which that response was not appropriate. The customer was only trying to say that they should say there’s an extra charge for certain toppings. I wouldn’t have made this review if I didn’t hear the guy with the glasses respond to their customer that way. I could feel the customers frustration

We always have a great time at Coco Loco! The staff is always friendly and the food is always delicious. Their blue shark margarita is my favorite drink and everything we’ve ever tried has all been amazing. The molcajete, pozole, cecina tacos, and the sope estilo DF are a few of our favorites.

We came in over the weekend. It was very busy due to a community event, and it took a long time for our food to come. When it finally did, we all enjoyed it very much. The waitress was very apologetic about the service, which we understood. The food was authentic and the portions were decent. I had two tacos with a side of rice, which was under $10. We will definitely come back if we are in the area.
