Service: ONE STAR! We waited for 50 MINUTES. About 3 orders along with ours (mostly finished and ordered ahead of time) passed within the 50 minutes so OBVIOUSLY they were NOT busy. The service was slow and the workers were lazy, on and off their phones. 20 minutes later after ordering I noticed they were JUST starting to cook our food. This is completely unacceptable. I have never seen this kind of SHAMELESS unmotivated behavior from a restaurant.
Food: I was generous and gave them 3 stars; however, they messed up 2 out of our 3 orders. BLT burger was missing the L&T. The sub was missing the stuff INCLUDED in a SUB. We sat outside so my grandpop walked back in to got our missing items. We received them along with a ton of extra bacon they kindly gave us to make up for everything. The cook and workers blamed it on a language barrier; however, it was on our receipt what was needed. The worker argued that there was no difference between a cheesesteak and a cheesesteak sub. This is embarrassing for him. The excuse of a language barrier was just him making excuses for being uneducated. Because of the long wait time the fries were cold. Constructive criticism? Get a container that has ventilation because without it it forms condensation which made the fries soggy. The workers are BARELY cooks. On the positive side, I will say the food was plentiful and good.
Atmosphere: I gave this a 4 star. This was the only positive. It was friendly and clean. A pretty big place with a nice clean look. I removed a star because the AC ceiling unit was leaking; however, they did have buckets for that.
Also, they had like different kinds of Lays chips I have never even heard of lol. I brought 2 and they were weirdly good. Would buy again.
I ordered a plain burger, wings, hash browns and a BLT on a bagel. Everything was made correctly however they weren’t made well. The bacon was slightly undercooked and we ended up having to finish cooking it at home. The hash browns were extremely greasy and the burger was undercooked and borderline raw. They never asked me how I wanted my burger done and I don’t mind pink, but eating that is the quickest way to a callout from work because of food poisoning. I didn’t even try the wings because if you can’t even cook beef and pork properly then I would hate to see the attempt at poultry.
What made things worse was that I was already home but I was so upset that i decided to go back for a refund. Upon returning that staff wasn’t necessarily rude about it but they also didn’t seem too sympathetic. I didn’t get a full refund, just what I brought back(burger and wings). Which is fair but a full refund for the inconvenience not only would’ve been nice but would’ve been a good attempt at keeping my business there in the future.
Thankfully the refund was an enough to cover my lunch at the Blue Bird Diner next door.
I’ll give it to the business for at least having a nice bagel selection and for the store front being clean and spacious, but I will not be returning anytime soon.
General details: plenty of parking, good lighting and drink selection, clear menu boards, high tables and high swivel chairs available for on site eating. Did witness an older customer struggle with the weight of the door as they left.
