Purposely ordered a ton of food because I wanted to try their menu and have leftovers. Got a lot of bang for the buck with 4 dishes for just under $45.00.
Food is great, good mom & pop, non-chain, Chinese. My wife who doesn’t always like Asian foods, loved this.
We will definitely be back – my favorite was the shrimp egg foo young.

We hadn’t tried this place in three years we have been in NWA and we finally tried it after reading some of the recent reviews.
We went on a Saturday night.
After a friendly chat with the I assume owner, we ordered.
I ordered the General’s Chicken which was good. The sauce was not overly vinegary, sweet, or gooey like you can sometimes get.
I was pleasantly surprised by it. The chicken however, was definitely made up ahead of time and several of the pieces had that “leftover fried chicken from the fridge” flavor.
The second trip we went a couple days later and I wanted to try the Springfield Style Cashew Chicken, having lived most of my childhood and early adulthood in Springfield, I am quite familiar with SSCC. What I got was something that looked like beige pudding on fried pieces of chicken, I assume the same made ahead of time chicken mentioned above. Overall it was pretty flavorless.
The rice, it is almost as if they are using rice from the previous day or days old. Both times it didn’t seem “fresh.”
Interestingly, I never saw or heard anyone cook anything. Typically in a Chinese restaurant, you can hear or sometimes see your food being cooked, i.e. the clanging of a wok or the frying of the egg rolls.
Both times it was as if everything was prepared ahead of time and they added the sauce when the order was placed.
The only noise I ever hear from the kitchen, which I could see clearly on both visits, was the sound of something the lady preparing the food had put in the microwave.
Nothing stir-fried in a wok, we also had chicken fried rice and egg foo young.
The Egg Foo Young was strange, the egg was like piece of cake cut out of a pan. Square and about 2 inches thick…
Had the second trip been our first experience, we would have never made it back for a second visit.
It’s too bad the food doesn’t seem cooked to order, rather, it is made ahead of time and sauced when ordered.

This was our first time here. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The food was ready as soon as we sat down which was great! The food was ok, could have been much better if the chicken wasn’t so over cooked. Good flavor though! We had orange chicken and crab rangoon. The crab rangoon was pretty good.

I did not have a great experience.
The fried pork wontons were RAW in the middle and overcooked on the outside. Clearly they didn’t have their fry oil at the correct temp. Also, I ordered fried rice. I got stemmed rice. With both of these mistakes I decided to call the restaurant to warn about the raw pork and fried rice. The man had no comment about the raw pork, and said that they call their regular stem rice fried rice. I commented that this is stemmed rice and not fired rice. He responded, “well that’s what we call fried rice here and we serve it with all our meals.” He didn’t even apologize or respond about the RAW PORK.
I had not ate at Hunans in years. It used to be decent food. I won’t go back.
I want to say something nice, so I will complement their broccoli. It was good. My wife also liked their spring rolls.

Just an update. Had not been there for over a year. I don’t know what’s taking place but the last time I was there the cashier chicken was really strange. We just left there and literally left all the fried rice and most of my cashew chicken on the table. Chicken was very overcooked. And the fried rice tastes like soap. Did not get a refund after informing owner. He said he would check into it. So I had to leave and go find a different place to eat. Very sad.
A very nice out of the way place, by far the best Asian food in the Bentonville Rogers area. Had cashew chicken Springfield style superb, sesame chicken superb and their fried rice oh my goodness well worth the trip

I loved the staff. The food tasted great.. but, there was no shrimp in my entree.. it had 2 of the 3 meats that was supposed to be in there. And I ordered 2 orders of the crab Rangoon yet the only sauces that were in the bag were 2 small packets of soy sauce and 2 of small packets of duck sauce. I ordered 3 full entrees and 2 apps.. 55 bucks.. and that’s all the sauce I get? I’m gonna go back again, though, because I believe small businesses can have bad days and usually when mistakes are made.. small businesses will go out of their way to fix it.

This is exactly what you want out of a Chinese restaurant. Despite the other negative reviews I have never had a negative experience. The staff is friendly and inside yet dated still a great place to sit and socialize.
