Past few years they have consistently gone down hill. The place is dirty. From the floor to the non lit GREASY menu board to looking at where they cook. Greasy and dirty. I believe they lost the passion they may have had. When son was working with parents it was different. Son has been away it is different and not in a good way.
My advise. Close for a week. Spend some money and CLEAN and renovate. Get rid of menu board and put digital menu tvs up or nothing at all. Get passion back or hire someone w passion.

I uploaded these two pics as a comparison. 6 months ago the food was delicious and great. Now the general tsos chicken is all bread and no chicken. They cheapened their food and expect you to pay more. It’s sad bc this was only Chinese place I trusted not anymore. Would rate this place 0 if I could.

Absolutely disgusting!!! This place is filthy, smells like old grease, water even smells and taste like it! Woman coughs on food doesn’t wash her hands or covers her mouth. The boneless spare ribs are tasteless, and the pork smelled old and was brown. It made me extremely sick!! I do not recommend eating here!! You’ve been warned!!!

I’ve eaten here a few times as it’s down the road from my work. Decent food. Had the fried pork dumplings and the Won Ton soup. Only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is the pricing. I think it’s a little bit expensive compared to other Chinese food restaurants and also the pricing on a the actual menu is higher then what’s listed virtually everywhere on the internet.

Just tried to place an order for delivery the person taking my order was rude possibly because she doesn’t understand the English language and got very frustrated with me not what you’re looking for when you want to order food!!! It is really too bad also I’ve always had very good experiences here this time was very bad please do not order from here!!!!!!!!!! P S the order would have been chicken wings pint of chicken rice soup and special combination platter twice cooked pork with egg roll and pork fried rice too bad for you!!!!

Never had a problem with them. They may seem rude at times, but after working in the food/retail business, I can understand. Only once have I ever had an attitude.

The owners and staff are very kind! Food is the same as before. It’s still very good. Honestly, I feel like they have improved a TON! My only issue is that the garlic chicken doesn’t taste the same. Idk what it is. I can’t tell what they changed in the recipe. It is still delicious, but I just miss the old taste.

Crab Rangoon

I’m not sure what happened over the past couple of years, but they went downhill. The food is either very dry and overcooked or super greasy. The portions are not consistent, meaning one day the container is half full and another can be super packed. The service went downhill as well. They used to be so nice, and now it’s basically attitudes.

This place used to be good but no it’s not. Almost $30 for 2 small combo’s and you don’t even get a free soda or anything. The lady at the register I’m guessing the owner wife has a very nasty attitude. The food isn’t that good anymore for them to be charging that much or be talking nasty to customers!!

I’m originally from New York State, and I knew nothing about Connecticut or their food when I moved to Waterbury.
This Chinese restaurant was one of the first places I’ve tried. And it is the only venue I will willingly drive across the state to, after moving farther away from Waterbury recently.
They have fair prices, their food is always hot, and they’re quick. Their employees are polite and friendly. We always chat with one of the younger individuals there. They are personable and professional.
My boyfriend and I always appreciate their business, and were very glad to see them survive through the pandemic shutdown. I was personally going through withdrawal without their coconut shrimp..! Haha
The negative reviews I see sound ignorant. We have ordered from this establishment countless times. Both takeout and pickup.. As well as sit in when I had lived locally.. Never had a single issue.
If you’re ever looking for a new takeout venue, check them out.
