Reviews
This restaurant exceeded our expectations overall. The atmosphere is beautiful both indoors and on the patio. We were initially seated inside but asked to move outdoors, which was very comfortable given the weather.
We ordered the lobster bisque, steak tartare, and scallops Saint-Jacques as appetizers, followed by lobster au gratin and veal for our main courses.
All of the dishes were well executed, but the scallops were the standout, served piping hot, with scallops cooked nearly perfectly (slightly on the more done side) and paired with smooth, well-seasoned mashed potatoes. They were excellent, and we’re planning to return specifically for them.
For the main courses, the veal was flavour packed but could’ve been more tender, while the lobster au gratin was slightly overcooked. Overall, the appetizers were stronger than the mains.
That said, this is a lovely restaurant offering solid French cuisine, attentive service, and a great setting. Well worth a visit while in Casco Viejo.
Lam dumplings, escargot , onion soup, salad, bread, and refreshments in between are all good. The duck confit risotto is a bit too sweet.
The glass of wine I ordered is exchanged to the right taste of freshness.
Overall I still enjoyed it!
