Norwood’s Restaurant and Treehouse Bar was established in 1946 and has been a place of family fun and great enjoyment since. Located just over the South Causeway in sunny New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Norwood’s is a favorite to locals. Norwoods specializes in seafood, but also serves steaks, pastas, and salads. The Treehouse Bar has a whimsical and welcoming environment and a perfect spot for date night, while the patio and inside restaurant is fun for the whole family! Our talented Chef and his team designs and creates menu items and present them with skill and confidence in our scratch kitchen. The menu is priced to fit every budget and every occasion. We had a reservation and got right up to the treehouse. Happy hour still brewing so the parking was limited. This place was jamming but we got our table right on time. Very good service. We tried the stuffed mushrooms and she crab soup. Both were very nice. The soup came out immediately but room temperature. They have a great ordering systems that gives the server all the pertinent information. We both tried the early bird fish dishes. I had the stuffed haddock which was nice but loaded with salt. Ample Crisp green beans and a scoop of mashed potato. The wind picked up and the topside emptied out. This was first time here in 10 years so I need to try again soon.

We had reservations and were greeted with friendly, welcoming faces as soon as we arrived. Since we were waiting for our friends, we asked if we could wait at the bar — the staff was great, and the drinks were delicious! The ambiance was relaxing and had such a nice vibe.
Once our party arrived, we were seated in the outdoor garden area, which was beautiful, especially with the perfect weather. Our waitress, Lex, was amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were excellent, and every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and high quality.
From start to finish, everything about our dining experience was fantastic and worth every penny. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Drink and food discount pricing from 4 – 6 pm. Really liked the seafood pot pie. A lot of unique dishes like escargot, stuffed mushrooms, fried pickles, calamari, zucchini bread, bacon wrapped scallops, cheddar grits, and more. Specialty drink menu is very creative.
There is a glass enclosed dining room on the first level, with a rustic lodge vibe dining area on the second floor. Second floor is mostly open surrounded by large trees simulating a tree house environment. Musicians perform on both floors. Fireplaces.

We go to this restaurant all the time. For dinner or drinks, it’s always fantastic. The Treehouse is beautiful with amazing view of the area and so fun to enjoy a cocktail and great music. We recently went for a Paul Hobbs Wine Dinner that was amazing! Fantastic food and wine pairings! Looking forward to the next time we go!

Great atmosphere, drink and service. The food though, could be better. The scallops wrapped in bacon were okay, the bacon needed to be crispier but was saved by the pasta/seaweed salad it came with. The coconut shrimp were just friend shrimp, didn’t get any coconut. The dish got was the chicken gorgonzola, the flavors were great but I needed to borrow a steak knife to cut the chicken it was overcooked. The almond crusted grouper was also overcooked and very dry. The gorgonzola ribeye was served to two people and they were completely different sizes/pieces of meat. These were cooked closer to the ask but we’re still overdone. The environment is fun, the drinks are good and they have good bourbon options but not the best place for food.

We came on a Tuesday evening around 6:30 with a group of six, and it wasn’t crowded at that time. Since it had rained earlier in the day, we stayed inside instead of sitting in the treehouse section. The outdoor seating is really the highlight here, tucked up in the trees and giving the place its name. The food was enjoyable, and next time I’ll plan for a clear-weather day to try the treehouse seating!

We sat upstairs in tree house. Excellent food . Escargot is top notch . Great house salad dressings all homemade. Its going to be a little pricier than average restaurant but we’ll worth it Pets are allowed downstairs in garden patio seating. We sat in bar section at high top table live entertainment was there (very good)

Great drinks, food and service! Appetizers: the fish dip and coconut shrimp are delicious! I had stuffed flounder with daily veggie and potato cake. Mom had Seafood Pot pie and my sister had the Salmon salad.
