It’s hard to write a review on Nell’s Burgers. It depends on when you go and who’s cooking. I ordered BBQ baked potato one time, I was the only customer there and it took over 30 minutes to assemble. The lady working that day had her children running around and was more busy getting on to them. I finally got my food and went home. I discovered the potato was barely cooked. I couldn’t even get my fork in it. I was so disappointed. She obviously knew it was not cooked as she had to cut into it. Other times I have ordered the same and it was very good. I don’t care for the frozen fries or the onion rings that taste like plain flour. The burgers are good but not the best. They were much better in the past.

Went in and got 3 burgers “all the way”. It’s drive thru only from what I can tell. Average price for a burger joint. I think with tax and everything it was $15.05
Burgers were fresh made. Took about a 10-15 minutes wait while they made the burgers. Very good. Vegetables were fresh. Burgers were delicious! Definitely will be going again!

I came across this burger joint by looking up some burger restaurants online near Livingston, TX. I saw that there was another restaurant not too far down from this one, but i decided to give this place a try. The burgers here are tasty, portions are generous and easy on your wallet.
The first time I ate here was Sat. and there were a ton of people waiting so the bacon on my burgers came out a little too crispy. I came back again on Monday for a second round when there were hardly any people and sure enough to my surprise, the ingredients tasted even fresher on Monday!.
*Note to all, this isn’t a typical “fast-food” type of business, you might wait a while for your burger

Woah! The burgers are killer. Better than any fancy burger joint in Houston that’s for sure. L&L makes a perfectly balanced burger in all ways. Everything is made with love and care. Highly recommended. Tip: Check the hours before you go. She normally closes down by 6pm sharp.

Good mushroom swiss burger, big thick patty. Onion strings were good, but were not hot when we got them. Both the burger and the onion strings needed salt for my preference, but that is strictly preference.

I haven’t lived in Livingston for 10 years, but I recently had to return for a funeral. My cousin was six feet down in a steel box in six pieces after a drunken tractor accident, but the worst part of that trip was discovering that Nell’s burgers was closed for remodeling.
Seeing the big flat top grill through the window, the flaking paint on the old plywood menu out front, smelling the hint of years of burnt grease… They ignited an old memory. I wasn’t able to get that huge delicious bacon covered memory out of my mind. It dripped juices of desire into my dreams and daydreams from a decade ago, and I had to return to see if my old flame was the same as she had been. I was glad to make it back through town today and find them open for business.
Bacon cheese burger, all the way, mayo and mustard, and an order of homemade onion rings… I ordered over the phone so the grizzled woodslady manning the grill would not mistake my salacious gaze as being directed at her, I was her meat I wanted.
It was like the first time again. My mouth stretched almost to the point of pain to accept the dripping bundle of satisfaction. The juices ran down my face and arms and mingled with my tears of joy. I realized I was home, in the embrace of the only thing I had ever really loved.
The price had gone up by 20% at least, and the customer service… Well, they don’t have to be nice when they make a burger like this. It’s the kind of burger that will make you try to think of reasons to move back to a place you spent your whole life leaving.

i went there last week and got 3 burgers. I got the awesome Bacon Burger.
i had not been there since it changed hands and the food was so good i had to call and tell them. I will go there at least once a week
