We are a family business with a menu based on dishes from our home village of Kyparissi, Greece. Over 30 years ago, two brothers left their lives of herding goats in the mountains to pursue their dreams in Florida. They started a restaurant here with a menu inspired by their favorite family recipes. Time has brought changes, but today we are still a family-run restaurant, still inspired by our home village, and always here to serve you with that same joy that our father and uncle had when they served their first meal in 1984. We thank you for your new and continued support in our family business. Please do not use the inaccurate menu listed on yelp or other 3rd party sites. My husband and I enjoyed the most wonderful date night at Greek Islands Restaurant on Largo Road, and we felt compelled to share our experience.
This 40-year family-owned gem deserves to shine. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed warmly and treated like valued guests. You can truly feel the pride and heart that goes into running a long-standing family business.
We both ordered the chicken souvlaki dinners, and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and tender, the portions were generous, and every bite tasted fresh and authentic. It’s clear that they care about quality and consistency.
It honestly saddens me to hear that recent reviews have been discouraging for the owners. Small family restaurants are the backbone of a community, and this one absolutely deserves support. Our experience was nothing short of lovely — great food, comfortable atmosphere, and genuine hospitality.
We will absolutely be back and encourage others to give them a visit. Sometimes the best places are the ones that have been quietly doing things right for decades.

My husband and I are in town for a seminar and found this place for lunch. We love Greek food and this place knocks it out of the park!!! The Greek salad…the dressing is AMAZING!! The grape leaves had this beautiful cream sauce.. DELISH!! When we are in town next year, we will for return for sure!

Been there twice now, both times no wait for a table, super friendly servers, no rush to order, take time to answer any questions about menu items, quick delivery of food, hot and fresh food, large portions, absolutely delicious!!! Very reasonable prices. Highly recommend this “off the beaten path” gem!

We love this Greek restaurant. Never have to wait for a table. Conveniently located on Clearwater/Largo Rd. Family run, they work together to give the customers service and terrific fresh food. We had the spinach pie and souvlaki sandwich, I was able to customize mine, (no onions) easily. Our server was happy to see us and genuinely appreciate their customers. We will be back.

We had an incredible experience at this family owned restaurant. From the amazing hospitality to the delicious food to the cute interior, our large group really had a blast. I visited Greek Islands Restaurant in Largo and ordered the Moussaka—it was absolutely incredible. Perfectly layered, rich in flavor, and baked to perfection. The balance of the seasoned meat, eggplant, and creamy béchamel sauce was spot on. Easily the best I’ve had anywhere.
