We were initially given plates that were not properly cleaned and still had food stains on them. When we requested a change, the staff took them back, cleaned them, and returned them, which we appreciated.
We ordered only two mandis and one starter, and we were a small group. We had planned to leave a reasonable tip, but an automatic gratuity of $30 was added to our bill. We were also informed that there would be a 7–8% discount for paying in cash, but even though we paid in cash, the discount was not applied. Instead, the bill still included a card processing fee of $10. We noticed this only after leaving the restaurant.
Could you please clarify the gratuity policy for small groups and how cash discounts are applied? Clear billing would make the overall experience much better.
It feels like they’re misusing the good reputation they’ve built over the years, relying on name recognition to justify overpricing subpar portions. This is not the first time, If you’re thinking about placing a takeout order, watch out—double-check the menu descriptions or maybe dine in to see the serving size firsthand.
Mandi is a traditional Middle Eastern/Arab dish, and this did not match its taste or preparation at all. I was very disappointed. Please understand what mandi actually is, or kindly remove the name “mandi” from the menu if it’s not authentic. My money and time both waisted.
