Pure Pizza offers a menu with quite a few options to choose from, including shareables, salads, sandwiches, pasta and, obviously, pizza (regular and gluten free).
My wife and I went for the gluten free Buffalo Chicken and the Lulu pizzas. They were both crunchy and delicious. The drink menu was a bit limited but did offer a few beer options and sweet/unsweet tea.
The staff was helpful and friendly and everyone was fully bilingual. The vibe inside is not bad, comfortable and all common areas, including the restroom, were clean.
The location was easy to find with its own free parking lot with limited spots.
Overall, highly recommended for a great pizza!
We stopped in because it was late at night, we were exhausted, and it was 2 minutes from our Airbnb. I ordered a 16 inch pizza, and asked for pesto drizzle on top. I asked for a lot because I really love pesto. They did not disappoint. I was served this absolute beauty, a grid of pesto that made my jaw drop. The cheese pull was gorgeous, the texture and flavor were amazing, every bite bursting with basil, garlic, and a good flavorful olive oil. This is my new favorite pizza place in all of Charlotte. They know how to make a customer happy.
Both were very flavorful and unique. Great quality ingredients, great taste, and a solid drink selection. Definitely coming back.
Pizza was great, top 5 in the Charlotte area for me!!! Kaiden and I split the Sloppy Don, which is extra sauce, extra cheese, extra pepperoni and extra black olives (I got my half minus black olives of course, since I’m a fan of the classic pizza- cheese and pepperoni only). Jen and Jeff got the wild mushroom pizza and really enjoyed theirs as well!
Unfortunately there was an issue with their system and our appetizers came out about a minute after our pizzas, so didn’t get to properly enjoy those, but they were very good once we got to them. Jen loved the Brussel sprouts, don’t see those at a lot of pizza places.
We had 5 in our party and the only options for sitting inside are 3 small two person tables, one counter/bar with 4 seats and another counter/bar with 4 seats. There are six picnic tables on the side, but there were quite a few bugs when we tried to sit there. Best seat is the large table on the porch by the entrance. Juli said they are working to get a way to enclose where the picnic tables are, so that will be awesome if they can get that worked out!
Drinks are by the can and there is a 3% surcharge for paying with a credit card.
All in all, great little place with a really nice owner, nice variety on the menu and great pizza! Easy parking as well! We will definitely be back!
As a vegan, I always ask a few questions about modifications just to make sure I’m ordering correctly. The server had a noticeably poor attitude when I was asking about ingredients and substitutions. Her tone felt unwelcoming and dismissive, which made me feel uncomfortable for simply trying to clarify my order.
We also felt an odd energy when we said we wanted to dine in rather than take our food to go — it came across as inconvenient to them, which was surprising. Before our food was even ready, we asked if we could move to sit outside, and we were told we would need to cash out first if we wanted to eat outdoors. That felt rushed and unnecessary, especially when we were just trying to enjoy a relaxed dinner.
When dining out, you expect to feel welcomed and comfortable — not like you’re a bother or being pushed out the door. I hope this was just an off night, but the service unfortunately left a negative impression.
Indoor is cozy & well thought out space for individuals and small groups of people to find. There’s also a meshed area outside for larger groups/families to share a meal and converse with one another.
Driving Tip: be mindful when entering and exiting the parking. There’s plenty of parking. But, the vehicle entry/exit is shared between this business and the one next door, but it is really narrow (like it is a one-way, rather than a two-way) compared to the rest of the sidewalk. When exiting, your vehicle can drop off the sidewalk if you are not paying attention to where you are driving to exit.
