————————- *If you drive a little past the cafe, do not make a U turn, local popo were watching at a distance.
We arrived at opening time and were greeted and order taken promptly. For a small place, there is good variety of popular menu choices.
Even as very first customers, our order came right out. Huge catfish fillet was perfect combo of light and crispy and cooked through but not over.
The coating was a great combination of flour, fine cornmeal and spices that you do not get just anywhere. Best light and crispy sweet potato fries I have ever had! And if you have to have your veggies, the broccoli was the perfect combo of a bit al dente and not overcooked. Dining companions enjoyed the coleslaw as well. Our picture does not do justice to the size of dinner plate. Portion is large for the money, and each of us needed a take home box which was thoroughly enjoyed again. We were too full but dying to try the sweet tea and pies made there, not brought in.
We noted a large supply order for the cafe arrived and even during the noon hour rush was opened, stored appropriately, and boxes removed with no apparent impact on customer wait time!
Restroom was adequate and obviously well maintained.
Burgers are on point! They are very flavorful, juicy and grilled to perfection.
The French fries (crinkle cut) are crispy and delicious, the onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles taste fresh and sliced to perfection. The atmosphere is welcoming and peaceful, with country music playing in the background.
Stacy is a wonderful waitress/ hostess. Her husband Bruce, is an awesome cook, and doesnt rush and takes his time to make sure the food is cooked to perfection.
The interior paint looks kinda like candy corn and is beautiful.
The entire Cafe is clean, especially the bathroom. They have soft toilet paper, (Charmin).
Just come on in and pick a table or booth and sit down, Stacy is there with menus, and silverware, kindly asking what you what you would like to drink, when she comes back with your drinks she asks if you are ready to order or would like more time. She is very polite, has a warm smile, and great personality.
They have daily specials, and even have homemade pies; like Apple crisp, chocolate, cherry, pumpkin, coconut, gooseberry. (Didn’t order pie but next time we will).
Price is perfect! The Jr burger is huge, glad I didn’t order the quarter pound lol.
They even have deep fried pickles (will definitely try next time we go)
Located on town Square catty corner to the bank and a block away from Pringers grocery store.
