My son was craving fish and chips and so when heading home from Monterey, we went here and my son got 2 fish and chips, wife got shrimp and I had the fish tacos. All of the food was amazing.with the fish tacos they had potatos deep fried that were perfectly cooked and everything was perfectly seasoned.

Ordered a 3 piece Fish & Chips to go and this place missed the mark for me.
While the texture of the fish was satisfactory, there was definitely a lack of flavor in both the batter and the fish itself. Perhaps a wedge of lemon would have helped here. Or maybe some vinegar, I don’t really know at this point.
All I know is that the fried fish was disappointing and I’m completely bewildered by the “4.5 stars” it currently has

Fish & Chips was a great place for a late lunch or dinner. I went with a group of 4 and we all ordered completely different food so we were able to share and taste a little bit of everything. The portion size was just right and the service was great too. Nice and friendly staff.

I was going to Salinas and was thinking fish, like Phil’s in Moss Landing. So you understand my level of food quality. I found this place on Google maps and it peaked my curiosity. This place used to be a Long John’s silvers, probably the worst fried fish that I have ever tried. So I was not really expecting high-quality, properly prepared sea food. I was wrong the deep fried fish was fresh, not frozen, and the shrimp were so crunchy, yet moist and delicious inside. I have only tried the 20 piece battered shrimp and 4 piece fish and baked potato. I would like the fish to be bigger portions, I had to share this meal, and it was difficult. I wanted to eat everything . I really like good clam chowder, so I got some… It is not clam chowder it was runny. It seems to be missing any clams or even the taste of clams. It was like a base of cream carrots, and potatoes not bad, just not actually clam chowder . I gave 4 stars because I want to try more items and the chowder, however I’m excited about more shrimp and won’t share next time. They have a very extensive menu and if the quality I experienced was any indication ,I’m sure they have a choice you will enjoy. Service was polite and fast, lots of seating indoors and outside as well, very clean and well maintained. If you’re craving great fish and chips or menudo or pozole, this is the place .

This Fish & Chips restaurant has more than Fish and Chips. They serve delicious Menudo and Posole. I’ve had both and they were equally delicious. They have cute little patio area outside and inside is simple and quaint. Service HAS ALWAYS been Friendly, fast and restaurant is always clean. They have your order ready in a fast manner and portions are generous. I always get extra hominy in my Menudo! Enjoy

Wonderful place to have a great meal with friends and family. Don’t let the exterior draw you away, this place is such a great spot for locals. Friendly owner and great staff. Food is absolutely delicious and a home feel to it all. Pozole is one of my go to dishes here that’s available on the weekend. Comes with all the condiment and even some spicy sauce to add in. It can get really busy and be ready to order when you walk in.

I’ve been eating here since early 90’s, one thing I miss is their fries, I liked the just regular steak fries they had than the seasoned ones. Also , the Cajun Shrimp is mi weakness there , I will give it a 4.5 syst out of 5, but only because recently I’ve been getting quite a bit of gooey creamy shrimp. By fixing that issue, I would surpass even the 5 stars.. This plate is highly recommended, in fact, I like it better than the nearby competition.
