NASTY! NASTY! NASTY! I have had so so food and left good reviews. I have had so so service and left a positive review. I really feel sorry for this restaurant owner. When we arrived the lady at the cash register said it would be a moment. I looked around the restaurant. It looked a little disshuffled and dirty. I thought that they had just finished a big rush and were in recovery. There were three tables of people seated. None had food, but had obviously ordered. We were finally seated by a young lady who had just cleaned the table. The table was soaked with nasty looking water. I cleaned it with the napkins on the table left from the previous customers. She gave us menus and left. We looked at the menu for quite some time before the same person asked for our drink order. After about 15 minutes and a whole basket of chips and ketchup tasting salsa with no acknowledgement, I told my wife it was time to leave. I was standing up when the lady at the cash register came to take our order. She stated that she was very busy and apologized. She took our order. While we were waiting, the other three tables were finally getting their food. All three tables asked for refills on their drinks. When our food was served forty minutes after we arrived, I knew by presentation on the plate, that it was not going to be good. I ordered Mole Chicken enchiladas. I had three enchiladas, two of which were ripped open, with bright orange ketchup tasting sauce. I hope the owner reads this because I have included the recipe for mole sauce! The food was very bland and nasty. The rice was as hard as uncooked. After a couple of bites, I told my wife, I couldn’t eat it. I will eat almost anything. I got the attention of the young girl and told her about the problem. She said that her mom was the server and she had left the building. The only sever was gone. We waited about 10 more minutes and she returned. Not sure what she was doing but she smelled funny when she returned. She stated that was the way they made Mole. So they charge more for the name? Mine were the same as regular enchiladas. I told them that I was not happy and would not pay for my meal. My wife only ate a couple of bites also because hers was covered with more than a half a cup of sour cream, but I paid for hers, because I actually felt sorry for them. The owner came to the register. When I asked him about the situation, he ducked his head and walked away without saying anything. If you value the hard earned money you make, save yourself the trouble and don’t eat here. To the owner, here is the recipe for Mole. Mole poblano is a rich, complex Mexican sauce from Puebla, made from a blend of chiles, spices, nuts, seeds, and chocolate, it should be brown not orange Mexican ketchup. They haven’t been open long, but I bet they won’t last. Drive to Tazewell to El Mariachi. The service is great, the food wonderful and you can get an absolutely delicious margarita.

El Patron at the Mercer Mall for a meal, and it’s one of my local favorite for Mexican food. The first thing that hit me was how colorful and vibrant the place is—the decor and artwork really make it feel like a fun getaway right inside the mall.
My Review
The Service: The staff was incredibly friendly and fast. Chelsea, our server, was awesome—she was super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed without us even having to ask. The kitchen staff even comes out and asks us if the food was good. I even received a rose on Valentine’s Day!
The Food: Everything was spot on. The chips are flaky and warm, and the salsa has that perfect fresh kick.
Must-Try Dishes:
Fajitas: I had the steak and chicken mix, and the meat was perfectly tender.
Burrito El Patron: My absolute favorite—it’s stuffed with beef or chicken and covered in delicious sauce.
Tacos de Carne Asada: These are amazing, especially since they use fresh, homemade tortillas.
ACP: our family favorite rice, cheese, and any meat of your choosing
Value: I was really impressed by the portions for the price. I even had enough left over for lunch the next day.
If you’re looking for a great lunch or a solid date night spot in Bluefield, you have to try it out. Ask for Chelsea if she’s working—she’ll take great care of you!

We love coming here. The food is good and we love coming to eat when either Chelsea or Carson are serving. They make it that much better! Someone needs to give those girls a raise!! They’re always running around and making sure everything and everyone is taken care of!! Make sure you do on a Wednesday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday! You won’t be disappointed.

Waited 10+ minutes for a sweet tea refill because apparently they “had to make another batch” which doesn’t take that long to make. Staff was absolutely rude! Food had little to no taste, queso wasn’t even hot and started to harden pretty quickly. $80+ for 4 people and a toddler is not worth it! Food is salted way too much. Also there was an older lady trying to order and the lady just walked off like it was nothing. Meanwhile the chocolate milk I ordered for my son sat on the counter, and no they was not busy! The “chocolate” milk was just chocolate syrup and wasn’t even completely stirred up! I do NOT recommend this place!

We were brought out another tables order twice. I ordered the picadillo and what I received was NOT picadillo, it was like fajita meat with mushroom and quarters of tomato?? Also paid $6 for a kids pizza, which was just a microwave pizza from like Walmart and wasn’t even cut. When I asked our waiter for the check, he said nothing and walked away and started doing something on his phone, so after a few minutes I just got up and went to pay and told the girl at the register the situation and she just said “oh we get mixed up sometimes” like girl-
Anyways, the foods was the worse mexican food I’ve ever had and the service was not it. I’m sure this place won’t be open for to much longer if it keeps operating the way it does tbh.

The food was amazing! Our waitress was very attentive. Service was fast & friendly. Only issue is the place is a bit run down. The booths were peeling, not the cleanest, the bathrooms were literally held together with duct tape. The bathroom sink drained into a bucket. However, despite the repairs needed, based on the food & service we would eat here again.

I would recommend this place if you get the giant burrito share it with someone. Fajitas are awesome. Overall good experience and reasonably priced, the deserts were good, soft serve ice cream with cherry sauce and whip cream, fried cheesecake was good, howerever something was wrong with the churros maybe bad oil had a bad after taste. We had eight people and we were all pleased by it

Very clean and open floor plan- nice dining room.
The Chile Relleno is authentic and excellent. Actually the best thing I had on the menu. Everything else was ala carte & sorely missing the necessary cilantro that would’ve taken it all up a notch.
The taco, & enchiladas were unexpectedly ground beef ( not shredðed) & were missing the cut tomatoes, & the sea of cooked piquante tomato sauce.
The Pico de Gallo helped, but it was dry and not as fresh as I might’ve hoped.
The flan was substantial & delicious, almost like a flan flavored cheese cake. Over all, the food was hearty and filling.
Next time I will order just a big plate of 3 of the fresh & fabulous chili rellenos.
Be warned, if you want beans & salad, they are not included in the platos unless you get a steak.
Good authentic mexican music de grupos playing in the back ground.
Finally, the service was excellent. The waitresses were friendly and gave good advice.
