The server (Amber) was very attentive, bar service was quick. I ordered the fried Asparagus for an appetizer and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. For dinner I ordered the beef fajitas, they were seasoned well the peppers and onion were cooked well and still had a pop to them just like I like. The Spanish rice was tender and flavorful, the refried beans were hand made and not full of lard, I prefer charros but they have taken them off the menu. The red salsa was home made and served warm (amazing with good spice) it came with a side of Guacamole also home made and fresh pico on top (yum)

When I was staying at the hotel, they only had one person working the bar and one “working” the restaurant. I was told to seat myself and then waited around 20 minutes for no one to serve me, so I just left and went somewhere else.

The restaurant was beautiful, service was decent but not to standard. The food was presented well but flavor was horrible. I had the chicken fajitas that were strait grilled chicken with absolutely no flavor. With a side of rice, and charro beans that were actually very good.

the steak was overcooked, the broccoli was steamed with no seasoning, but the sautéed mushrooms were quite nice, as was the caesar salad. the cocktails were prepared to standard. the prices are outrageous for what you get.

Excellent place for breakfast. They also have really interesting seasonal specials. I just got potatoes, sausage, egg, sourdough toast with avocado, with a glass of orange juice.

Nearly a 45 minute wait for our food ordered off the menu because the kitchen stove and other appliances were turned off after making the breakfast buffet food (which looked horrible)
We (party of 2) arrived at 9:05am to a nearly empty dining area, sat promptly, and brought our drinks in timely manner.
The server was nice, but the only employee working the dining area even though there were other employees standing around. She informed us we could order off the menu or have the buffet. The buffet looked horrible so we ordered off the menu.
The server was not attentive (it was nearly empty) as we had to flag her from behind the bar for refills. She was chatting with other employees.
After about 25 minutes I asked about the food and she replied it was coming. After another 10 minutes another employee (manager?) asked if we got our food and we said “No.”
She apologized and went to the kitchen to check on it. She disappeared and never returned, hope she’s okay…
Another 15 minutes passed and the room temperature food finally came out (a little after 10am)
The server apologized for the wait and explained that the kitchen stove, fryer, etc had been turned off.
I said that should of been explained at the beginning as we could of gone somewhere else.
The food:
The best part of the meal was the coffee and OJ.
The food was room temp when it arrived.
My wife’s chicken and waffles plate was an eye-rolling dish. It was a simple waffle cut into 4s and topped with a thin orange slice and cherries. The chicken was a dry piece of fried chicken cut into strips – horrible execution.
My mexican plate of corn tortillas topped with beans, eggs, and salsa wasn’t bad, just room temp.
The flour tortillas served with the meal were low quality cheapy tortillas.
A spanish speaking man (kitchen manager?) Came to talk to us and apologized for the wait and quality of food as they are changing the menu. He said he’s from Mexico so the food will improve (?) I don’t know what that has to do with anything, but that was his excuse. Also, “changing the menu” is such a bad attempt of an excuse.
Apparently, slow service and poor food quality are an on-going problem with the hotel restaurant, which is a shame because it’s suppose to be part of a 4 diamond hotel resort and provide the best experience. Truly a failure in all aspects.
Fortunately, we didn’t have to pay for the meal as we had a gift certificate for 2 comp breakfasts, but what a huge waste of time and meal.
