Good food. Place was a little loud. Just people talking and the echo (some were employees). Pricing was a little on the high side. However, we did have a good experience and have no problem coming back. Coleslaw was great! 5 stars.

Stopped at Pitas in Paradise for a quick lunch before heading on to Crested Butte. You order at the counter & the food is brought out to you. I got the Falafel Pita & added twister fries. Hubs got the Thai Rice bowl & added gyro meat to the top. They had generous portions. We sat outside on the picnic tables. Service was quick & we left with full.

Pretty good food. Vegetable curry was so so. Them tied potatoe curry. Which was way better. Pretty good OG SANDWICH. Chef was a good dude!

Wings classic burger but the fries were good.

Classic Burger was very dry and extremely over cooked. $14 absolutely over priced.

Bone in wings the first time (I took them back) were dry to the bone, literally. The second batch was better, still not a great product. $20 wings had better be pretty good for the area, not the case.

I gave these wings to someone else , he threw them away after eating one.

Not from Gunnison, so I usually stop when I’m in town, which used to be quite frequently. We ate there on Monday the 20th and have to say it was good but not like it used to be! Kinda disappointed in the OG, their signature gyro. Mine had way too much white sauce for the amount of meat. It had lettuce but nothing else. I could have sworn it used to come with red onions and cucumbers or some sort of vegetables as well? It was plain! They seemed to have more meat at one time. The other OG’s that I seen were about the same size. BTW, the OG is the only thing I ever eat here. The Greek salad was good! Will I eat there again? Probably.

I read a review that there were “amazing” vegan pitas here so we came by and great vegan options were also advertised right on the door/window of the restaurant. We instead found a weird mashup of sports bar advertising Mediterranean food. None of the pitas were actually vegan but I was able to order the “teriyaki tofu” without sauce or cheese. It came completely dry with bland, unseasoned, over-fried tofu without a hint of teriyaki and a couple vegetables topped with lots of old lettuce. The fried pickle spears were the weirdest, saddest thing we have ever seen. They were tiny little strings of (pickle??? Maybe???) covered in massive amounts of batter that was so wet and greasy and over-fried that it was dark brown. Overall disappointing.

Friends love this place and I have to agree! We grabbed some gyros right before closing and ate them on the patio. Was great after traveling into town and conveniently close to the grocery store. The chips on the side were also a nice addition!

So we are visiting Gunnison this weekend and decided to try Pitas in Paradise after a long day of driving and hiking. The staff are very friendly. We chose to go with the greek salad and the greek fries. The salad was fresh and well made. It had plenty of everything on it and tasted great. The fries were AWESOME! Plenty of toppings and the fries themselves were crispy and flavorful. I would recommend P in P if you want a decent meal, we liked it.

The food that my family and I had was very tasty! I got a rice bowl and the rest of my family got pita, which they all had positive reviews for. I will say tho, that it said that my rice bowl would come with tofu and I only got one small tofu cube in my whole rice bowl, but other than that it was yummy! The service was alright. Not super friendly and the bartender was super loud, but she got the point across and we all got what we wanted, so that was good. 🙂 The atmosphere was a bit off and gave more of a sports bar vibe, then pita vibe, but the food was good! 🙂

Rice in rice bowl was uncooked! They need a proper rice cooker if they are going to cook rice. Or just get easy cooking rice! Also the grilled chicken is not seasoned, very plain chicken. The OG gyro pita wrap, fries and the coleslaw were the only acceptable items we ordered.
