Mahlet , Rechalle and Jose from the moment you walk in, it’s clear these two have ignored the standard job description and instead opted to operate on an elite, almost mythological level of service. Drinks appear before you’ve finished thinking about ordering them. Glasses are never empty. Vibes are perfectly calibrated. It’s unsettling.
Their efficiency borders on sorcery. Orders are remembered with alarming accuracy. Special requests are handled like personal missions. You could swear they’re running a silent competition to see who can be more on point—and somehow they’re both winning.
And don’t get me started on attitude. Not a trace of fake cheer or robotic hospitality. Just genuine warmth, sharp wit, and the kind of effortless professionalism that makes everyone else in the building look like they’re on their first day. Genuinely the best experience I’ve had. I have been visiting this hotel once a month for 16 months and there is no better

Had the Brussel Sprouts and Deviled Eggs as our starter and the Burger with fries. Nice and crispy salted fries went perfect with the burger.

Mahlet, jose and Rechalle: This is the most customer centered staff ii have ever met. I was compelled to comment on the Embassy Suite brand because it stood out. They make you feel like you are the only customer, but they do it for everyone. Mahlet and Rechelle were so attentive.

Located within the Embassy Suites in the Georgetown area, the inside of the hotel is beautiful and spacious. The waitress was friendly and hospitable. The food hit the spot for a late dinner, as we just arrived from a long road trip from home. The portion was good and reasonably priced.
I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a place to have a small, quick dinner in the area.

After logging more than seven miles in this year’s March for Life, Cindy and I retreated to our suite for a much‑needed rest before dinner. We were exhausted after walking over seven miles and chose to eat at the hotel restaurant. District Tap is located on the ground floor of Embassy Suites by Hilton in Washington’s Georgetown neighborhood.
The hotel graciously comped our pre‑prandial drinks, so we each enjoyed a couple of glasses of the house chardonnay before heading to our table. The walk took a lot of energy from me, and I consumed several glasses of water. The staff proved exceptionally attentive, with the manager, Javier, making several rounds to check on guests. Our waiter, Onisimo, took care of our meals.
When Cindy’s Chicken Caesar Salad arrived with blackened, which for her is a no-no, he quickly got the kitchen staff to prepare a second salad with grilled chicken. Thumbs up! The salad arrived with crisp lettuce, crunchy croutons, and perfectly shaved parmesan. The chicken was tasty, and as requested, the dressing was on the side. My pork chops were rubbed and glazed. Two were served, and I put one in the doggie bag for Maggie … not! Per my request, Onisimo switched the mashed potatoes with fries. The side of asparagus was served al dente.
We don’t always dine in hotel restaurants, but District Tap surprised us with both its food and its hospitality. If you find yourself in Georgetown, tell Javier and Onisimo I sent you—and resist the urge to ask Onisimo whether he knows Onesimus from St. Paul’s

This is the hotel restaurant within the embassy suites. It’s a very airy open seating area with a bar serving cocktails, wine and about 5 beers on tap. Went with a Vienna lager that was perfect to wash down our appetizer of buffalo wings which came out very quickly, were hot, juicy and very flavorful. It’s $17 for a plate of around 10 but given that they were cooked to perfection I was ok with the price. Hubby ordered the Alfredo with chicken he needed more sauce so asked for extra and they brought it out in a small bowl no problem. I went with the shrimp tacos which were excellent, 3 plump fresh shrimp with this incredible pineapple slaw with a house sauce that was a perfect compliment to the slaw. I’ve had a lot of shrimp tacos in my life and these were up there in top 5 category. Our waitress was very attentive checking on us and clearing out plates as needed. Finished off with their house cheesecake that was very light and tasty and got it to go so forgot to grab a pic before devouring it in our room. I know from reviews others have had unfortunate experiences with the food here but we were very pleased with our meal and would definitely come back.

Mahlet The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was attentive, professional, and very courteous throughout the entire experience. Everything was clearly explained, and I felt well cared for at all times.

Food is bad. Service is worse. Charging $30+ for a dish that’s poorly cooked is wild. Mashed potatoes had raw bits inside, pork chops dry and tasteless. Also, they have the skill to make you miss any fast food chain burger with their tasteless patties. Now service, inattentive, careless, the tasteless burger took 30minutes to be ready, with an empty restaurant (no wonder, should’ve seen the signs).
