Seventh state restaurant and lounge was a great place for our team lunch. The atmosphere was open, spacious and inviting. Service was superb. The Cream of crab soup was very tasty and a solid competitor if you’re a fan also the
Crispy chicken sandwich with french fries was right on point. A definite repeat when i’m in the bethesda area.

Visited this restaurant during their break time, so the menu options were limited, but it was still a great experience. We ordered a pizza and sliders, and based on our server’s recommendation, I went with the sausage pizza with honey on the side—such a good combo. The sliders were very juicy and packed with flavor. Our server was extremely attentive and helpful, which made the visit even better. Definitely appreciated the service and the food!

This was an incredible meal. The burger tasted like steak and the Brussel sprouts were out of this world. Even better than the food was the service – Griffin was one of the best waiters we’ve ever had anywhere. Attentive, kind, going the extra mile. Also my wife dropped her knife and within 30 seconds a different server brought her another silverware set. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I’ve been to Seventh State before just for the dessert. The Smith Cake is incredible, but this was my first time actually sitting down for a meal. My daughter and I stopped by to celebrate both of our birthdays. The plan was just to grab dessert like usual, but she suddenly decided she wanted lunch instead.
We were greeted by a really kind hostess who suggested we dine inside, which ended up being perfect. Our waitress, Makayla (I hope I’m spelling that right!), gave us amazing service from start to finish. We ordered the hot honey pizza and it was absolutely delicious, sweet, savory, with the perfect kick.
What really stood out this time was how warm and welcoming everyone was. The staff made us feel genuinely taken care of, and it turned our quick dessert stop into a really memorable experience. I’m still a little sad I didn’t get the Smith Cake this time, but the pizza was totally worth it. Next time, I’m definitely starting with dessert!

I had a great dining experience here. We had a drink at the bar then went to the dining room for an early dinner. The food was delicious, and the cocktails were creative and well-made. The bartenders were very friendly and personable, fun to chat with, and incredible at their craft and the wait staff was professional and attentive. It is a bit on the pricier side. The menu was well thought out and our meals had incredible flavor. Parking was a bit unclear, and we ended up using the valet service, which, unfortunately, was not complimentary, even with our meal. Despite the parking situation, which honestly is the case for most restaurants in the area, I’d highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or a treat.

Great vibe. I sat at the bar and had great service from the very attentive bartenders. The drinks were not only outstanding, they were gorgeous! I planned to just stop by for a drink, but ended up trying a few bites from the menu, including the feta dip with old bay chips and kale Caesar salad. Everything was delish! I parked at the lot across the street, I believe parking was less than $2/hr. I’m not in Bethesda often, but I’d definitely come back if I’m in the area.

First time visiting the restaurant/lounge located at the Bethesda Marriott. I agree with the other reviewers, the decor was beautiful & modern, clean, with a casual atmosphere. Our waiter, Leah, was very kind & knowledgeable of the menu and recommended a few dishes.
Drinks: Raised by Rum and Bee Right – both very flavorful 10/10.
For starters: Crab soup – full of lump crab, a must have! 10/10.
Entrees: Cobb Salad w/ Salmon- the salmon was blackened and seasoned to perfection, 10/10. The Chicken and waffles- seasoned to perfection and paired well with the waffles, 10/10.
Desert: Banana Bread Pudding- paired perfectly with the marshmallow ice cream 10/10.
The food was so amazing that we requested to speak to the chef. Chef Swank took the time to greet our table, we were delighted ! Swank was extremely hospitable and recommended the corn fritters for our next visit since they were not listed on the brunch menu. We asked if we could try them anyways and he was happy to accommodate us ! The corn fritters were filled with lump crab meat and flavor, 10/10.
In total for two people we spent approximately $150 which I felt was a fair amount for the quality service and food we received.
Overall… the service was excellent and the food quality is top-notch.
Truly a satisfying experience!

I had such a great experience at the hotel thanks to the bartenders, Owen and Issac. From the moment I walked up, they were both welcoming, attentive, and full of positive energy. They made amazing drinks with great attention to detail, and their recommendations were spot-on. Beyond their skills behind the bar, what stood out most was their friendly personalities and how they took the time to connect with everyone. They made the atmosphere fun, comfortable, and memorable. Owen and Issac truly go above and beyond, and they are a big reason I would come back again.

I’ve been three times. Pizza at the bar was very good. Atmosphere and bartenders are great.
Breakfast on a Saturday in the dining room was exceptional. It made me think … this is a signature restaurant for Marriott. Food was really very good.
Last night, the mushroom pot pie was meh. Actually really needs improvement. Why have your B Team working on a Saturday night?
It sounded great, should have been good, and looked good. But it was below average. Like a chicken pot pie but with mushrooms.
It had small potatoes in it. Some potatoes were cooked. Others were thrown in later and … well … not fully cooked. And this is a pot pie. What vegetables will we add with mushrooms? Carrots (no). Peas yes. Maybe chopped spinach or broccoli (nope). Pearl onions (nope). But yellow bell pepper? Of course. Come on. This is not pot pie but just an amalgam of available veggies.
And how about using a roux to make a nice cream sauce. No. The one I had was like half and half was added later.
You can do this better and more thoughtfully. It should be a great dish.
Hell I can make this better in my kitchen.
