We had a good time here. The attendant was friendly and smiling. The pupusas were delicious. Empanadas were good, however, the chicharrones were exquisite. Total was about $53 for all that, plus a agua de maraquya and a Jarrito. We’re not local to the area, but if we find ourselves in the area, we’ll definitely visit again.

I was recommended this place by a friend (shout out to Michele) and we decided to dine in and have dinner here. We were the only people here on a Friday night, and the place feels cozy. You must order before you sit down, and they have a variety of menu options. Since they are a pupusería, we ordered different pupusas and a cheese empanada. It took about 20 minutes to get our food and the pupusas were the best we’ve had in town. They were hot and fresh and the fillings were delicious. The curtido (cabbage) and tomato sauce were just OK. Ask for hot salsa, their spicy red salsa was delicious. Not too spicy, and the flavor was nice and smokey. The empanada was good too, not overly greasy, and they were generous with the lettuce and queso fresco, which I like. If you order empanadas, ask for them “con todo” (with everything) that is the best way to enjoy an empanada. Overall, we were satisfied with our meal. We did order horchata, but it’s not your typical Mexican restaurant horchata. I do think that the food is done El Salvadoran style and is different from your standard Mexican cuisine. So if the taste is different than what you’re used to, that is why. Highly recommend their pupusas, best that I have tried in Sanford!

Came here for the first time.
We ordered take-out.
The order was read back correctly, but upon receiving our food, opening up the boxes at home we noticed that 4 chicken tacos were missing. My husbands carne asada tacos had onions on them even though we stated NO onions on all tacos. We received cole slaw in a ziplock bag. We did not want the slaw. We received 6 popusas even though we ordered 3.
The horchata is bad. My so called chicken tacos that had holes, maybe intestines and tasted like parmesan:-/
I tried to call but no one is answering their phone to get the situation fixed.
We waited 25 in the drive-thu for wrong food, paid $53.14 for this.
Sadly, when we dug the onions out, the steak from the tacos was not good either.
Very disappointing. We won’t be back!
30 min later we arrived to bring their unedible food back. We got part of our money back which is okay because we ate the popusas. The owner explained that the Horchate is a Salvadorian recipe. Good to know. Sadly, it still tasted bad. I have also never had Salvatorian Horchata. The hubby is from SoCal and we lived forever in AZ.
We are still very disappointed in this place.

Food was fantastic I had birria tacos and with my family off doordash I spent abt 100 bucks for some delicious food that was worth it The tortas are amazing I love the pupusas they are to die for they made my mom nachos and like a crunch wrap she wanted even though they don’t sell that but they made it work and it was delicious I most definitely recommend I recommend every single thing the horchata is to die for I love it everything taste homemade if you say things over the prices your cheap this is very good food the price is worth it

amazing tacos. Seriously freaking good. Moved from south Florida and this place is like going home. Best, by far the best authentic tacos in the area…by a mile. GO! You won’t be disappointed.

Food was great!! But plating left something to be desired.. the tacos were awesome but greasy and a few bites were kinda salty.. the empanadas were good just wondering why they put a salad on top of a empanada.. i scooped the salad to the side and everything was delicious.. price is kinda steep but competitive with the area, i guess.. im used to 10 tacos for $10.. in Pennsylvania..lol but ive notice in Nc the Spanish food is more expensive.. so $4 a taco out here is fair from what ive seen.. if anyone knows a cheaper taco place please let me know.. but this place is worth a try.. im just cheap
