The food fusion is amazing and delicious.
I would recommend every person in Australia to experience it.
So far the best Indian restaurant for me.

The menu had a great coverage of various types of meats, seafood and veg options. While they do serve a mean butter chicken, we didn’t go for the classics and tried pretty much everything else on the menu. Loved the Malabar chilli chicken with peppers which had a smoky taste of the wok, lightly spiced, perfect for all palates. Loha chaat is crispy, tangy, sweet and a perfect cold small plate to start with. Chicken malai tikka is creamy and vanished off the table. All the mains were very nice, however, my absolute favourites were lamb Nihari (fall off the bone meat with perfectly spiced curry), Barra in moilee sauce was so tasty paired with the ghee rice and the mushroom koftas were just too good (eventhough I normally stay away from veg food). Masala chai creme brûlée topped with mangoes was something I’ve never tried before and loved.
The food, plating, ambience and engaging friendly service stand out and make this place better than your average Indian restaurants around the block. We tried many cocktails and were served with a smile always.
Will definitely be heading back to try again inspite of it being located away from our home!
The food was seriously delicious. It’s not your typical Indian restaurant. The dishes come from different parts of India, and you can tell they’ve kept things authentic while adding a creative, modern twist. Everything looked amazing on the plate and tasted even better with fresh ingredients.
We had a quick chat with Chef Shaji, who’s Michelin‑trained and has worked in some big European restaurants, but you’d never know it from how humble and easy‑going he is. You can really feel how passionate he is about food and turning dining into a proper experience, not just a meal.
For the quality you get, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. It felt like fine dining without the pretentiousness or the massive bill at the end.
We’ll definitely be heading back to Loha, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone who loves good Indian food.
The food is unmistakably authentic, but presented with a refined touch that elevates the entire experience. Beyond the plate, the drink menu is thoughtfully curated and stands out. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the atmosphere; tasteful music and impeccable service. It’s rare to find a spot that hits every note this perfectly. A must-visit.
I genuinely don’t like leaving negative reviews, specially for a newly opened restaurant, but this experience was extremely disappointing.
I ordered Butter Chicken and Chilli Chicken, and unfortunately both dishes were far below expectation. The Butter Chicken had a strong smell of oil that didn’t seem fresh, with a visible layer of grease on top. The taste was sour and the yoghurt appeared slightly curdled, which made it very unpleasant. As someone who is Indian and very familiar with this dish, I can say this was not representative of what Butter Chicken should taste like. It felt more like a rushed, pre-made sauce rather than something freshly prepared.
The Chilli Chicken was over-fried to the point that it was dark, very hard, and difficult to eat. It was dry and tough, and sadly not enjoyable at all.
Both dishes had to be discarded, which was frustrating considering the price paid. I truly hope this was just an off day, because the quality of food served did not reflect the standards one would expect from a restaurant promoting its chef’s expertise.
I hope the management takes this feedback very seriously and reviews its food quality and preparation standards.
