Oh my word we had the best dinner. Sat up at the bar area , such a friendly staff and fun watching them cook. Our food was delicious I had salmon and I still cant stop thinking about it lol it really was good and when I went in there that was not what was on my mind but decided to go with the salmon. The bread. UGH lol so yummy Each of us ordered something different all the dishes were good.
We each had drink but our meal wasnt crazy expensive

I came here with my coworker for our last day dinner while we were staying at The Orleans Hotel. One of my coworker heard great things about this place and their oyster so we were fine with eating here as long as they had the college basketball game on.

We asked the host and she said the game is on so we decided to dine here and got seated in the middle to be able to watch the game. They will give you regular bread and pita bread to start you off. Two of my coworkers went with the lobster roll and the coworker got the oysters and Cioppino. I got the blacken salmon and asked for corn relish to be on the side.

The oyster and Cioppino came out first, my worker liked it. The lobster roll came out next and only one of my coworker who ordered it enjoyed it. My other coworker did not like it and ate the Cioppino instead. My salmon took the longest to come out. The rice was overcooked, the salmon was okay and I did not like the corn relish.

Customer service while we were dining here was fine. They weren’t that busy so they were attentive to us.

Delicious. So genuinely delicious. Usually I went all the way to California for Clam Chowder but now I have a place to beat the craving away easily. I keep trying new foods here and every single time, the seafood is top notch. Good butter, good crab, smooth scallops, juicy clam. They just don’t fail.

It’s delicious and you should try it. If anything, they should have bigger cups so the server doesn’t have to come by so often. I don’t like feeling like I’m overworking them asking for another refill.

Boyd Casinos try so hard to duplicate the magic that Station Casinos has harvested in their Oyster Bars, but they don’t even come close. Locals know that Stations should always be your first shot for oyster bars, but I had a free comp for Big Al’s and decided to give it a try.

Even for free, I probably would not return here.

First, service was absolutely abysmal. It took forever for a server to even acknowledge our presence, and we were starving and grateful by the time she brought over a basket of bread. We ordered a shrimp cocktail and lobster stew (the special of the day) and while the shrimp was decent, the stew was pretty gross.

The rice was gummy and cold, and the roux was far too thick. The flavor seemed off too, and it was something neither of us enjoyed eating.

The atmosphere is typical of a casino oyster bar, and it’s located right off the main gaming area. The menu is large but seems to over-promise and under-deliver. The prices are also borderline ridiculous considering what you get. I guess they inflate prices to make comped gamblers feel like they’re getting a “deal.”

There are far, far better oyster bars in town. I’d skip this one.

We had looked forward to eating here on our trip to Vegas but we were disappointed with the food because it all lacked flavor. My salmon, white rice and salad looked very appetizing but no flavor. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was watery and very bland. Service was great and we were seated immediately.

Chill vibes with Juan the chef cooking it up in the pots and the staff providing good service. Very good, tasty bowl of Boston clam chowder (white). Decent Pan roasts (mixed) which taste good but very soupy to my liking. Gold seal oysters (Louisiana) were refreshing and lightly sweet. Also, they make a mean, tasty Old Fashion. A good experience overall.

I had the Boston clam chowder which was bad! It had a had a heavy flour taste to it. I couldn’t finish it. I went in wanting to get a dozen oysters but at $3.75 each I decided otherwise. I then tried the shrimp cocktail. The “4” shrimp were good size and tasted fine, it was $16.25 for the cocktail. Service was fine but I don’t think I will ever find myself there again.

Was near this place when craving seafood so decided to try. The raw was delicious and so was the crab cakes. Had our fill and the price was reasonable. The service was prompt except towards the end when you’re waiting for the check. Otherwise, the atmosphere was nice, was Sat towards the back away from the casino noise.

Been to Big Al’s Oyster Bar a few times before renovation and after. We always enjoy a good pan roast. This time around I ordered the pan roast with shrimp add sausage. The flavors were delicious and it had a lot of shrimp however, I wish the sausage were cut larger. Service was ok, nothing spectacular. I’d return again if I’m in the Orleans Hotel.
