As soon as the bouncer let me and my friends in, he accused us of not buying drinks when I was literally waiting in line. Proceeded to SCREAM at me and tell me that he will get fired for letting us in. I said multiple times I was waiting for my friends to come back for drinks, because TABCs advise you sell one drink per person at a time. I ordered two modelo’s and they served me. Felt so much pressure. Boring atmosphere and other people there had problems with the bouncers as well. Do not recommend.

Want a proper Irish pint that feels like you’re in Dublin? Go to Bulls. Beautiful Guinness pours. You will feel like you’re in a local Irish bar with great staff. They also offer Irish coffee if you need a pick me up. Love this place!

Yes. Please. We wandered in because, tbh, there were bubbles blowing by the door. I’ve walked down this street tons but it’s a hidden little gem. Look for the door next to the parking lot. If you want those east side vibes on dirty 6th (read: comfy bar stools, rad bartenders and good pours) then this place is for you. Will update as we work our way through the cocktail menu.

Whoever is behind the bartop is not only welcoming and proficient in the alcoholic arts but has good taste in various styles of music and creates an intimate atmosphere for both enjoying a pint of the best Guinness pour in town whether you are alone or with a group. Comedy, live music and an open chess board always ready for the queens gambit. An overlooked gem in a sea of gimmicky bars in the area.

Bulls Irish Pub in Austin is a hidden gem, offering the best Guinness in town. As a German, I can say it’s rare to find such a perfect pint outside of Ireland. The pub has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, with a great mix of rustic charm and modern touches. The service is friendly, and the staff truly cares about delivering a top-notch experience. If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy an authentic Guinness, Bulls is the place to be. Highly recommend!

We stopped into Yup Lounge for a quick drink or an early Saturday evening after being convinced by the bartender Iggy who had waved us in from outside. He made us great some drinks, was super friendly and shared a couple of recommendations for our stay in Austin. Great spot!
