This place is in the FiDi on William around the corner about 2 blocks from Joe’s (on Fulton) and comparably priced. Hands down this place has far tastier pies due to their superior crust and sauce. I had two variants – sausage pepperoni: your typical NY Slice with a crispy bottom and foldable. The sausage on this one was a tasty Italian crumble which I prefer for its crunchier texture (versus slices of sausage). My other selection was their “upside down” pie. This was a square cut, not quite as thick as a Sicilian with a remarkable sauce (tomoato forward, both tangy & slightly sweet and savory) and a crust that was super crispy on the bottom and light and airy in the middle. Absolutely outstanding!

This Place is a real hidden gem! there are several pizzerias in the area and it seems Joes Pizza is the lead. But that would be according to your personal tastes in pizza! Rosella’s has been in the neighborhood for over 30 years. Because I have been here that long and they were here before me. They make serval types of pies a day, I’m Partial to the Margarita, and grandmas upside down, But the Meat Pies are great, The Veggie Salads are awesome here and the staff is perfect! The pizza sauce and the dough fermentation is perfect to me here. I would highly recommend this place. on a side note, Yes, They have a sweeter sauce. I like the sauce sweeter , than the salty sauce, if you like the salty sauce then Joes is better for you.

The pizza and the sauce for the buffalo wings are delicious, however, I wouldn’t get the wings again, there’s too much flour and it feels too chewy/not crispy. Also, there is nowhere to request a delivery on the website, I had to call and the women couldn’t understand me, then got frustrated/an attitude. Perhaps have someone who speaks English answer the phone and if not, add a delivery portion to the website so no one has to call 🙂

While everyone is lined up for Joes pizza, I’m down the block at Rosella. I love their kindness and the freshness of the food. The cook was kind enough to make the tomato sauce for my shrimp parm to my liking (sweet). The seating area is clean and the prices are reasonable.

I went to this pizza shop today as it was recommended by a peer. It was very clean and service was very fast. The pizza was delicious, I ate a chicken tomato slice. I would definitely become a regular here.

Pizza was delicious. Like that they warm it up but it isn’t too hot. Perfect. Gets crowded at lunch time but they are fast. Nice that it’s spacious enough for people to sit and eat. I didn’t have it but saw someone else having a grilled chicken salad and it looked super super good. I’ll get that the next time I go.

One of the nicer pizza places by my office. I’ve been here a few times now and the pizza is consistently delicious! They carry a variety of speciality slices which are unique and tasty. The dough is one of the best I’ve had. The sauce is a bit on the sweeter side but balances very nicely with the cheese and any other salty toppings you choose. Not sure if they have an exclusive deal with Snapple but they could def use some cans of soda in the fridge. A nice Pepsi or Coke always makes the pizza taste better. Will def be back!

Good NY pizza but pricey than normal. Paid $10 for a mushroom slice, regular slice, and a medium drink. Prices aren’t posted so you gotta guess the price and then add a few bucks. I would go back because the quality is good.
