I ordered breakfast and decided to treat myself to a margarita, and let me just say worth it. It was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, with a fresh citrus kick and just the right amount of tequila. Honestly, it was one of the better margaritas I’ve had in a while, airport or not.
The food came out quickly, everything was hot and fresh, and the service was super friendly without being overbearing. It made my wait before the flight feel like a mini escape. Definitely recommend if you’re flying out and want something a little more elevated than the usual airport grab and go.
I ordered the spaghetti — very good. My son had a burger, which he rated a solid 4 out of 5. My wife went for the turkey bacon avocado sandwich, also a 4.
I had a glass of Villa Locatelli Sauvignon Blanc. It was excellent, but you have to be ready to pay $22 for a single glass.
Overall, Alta Strada is a solid lunch option when you’re traveling. Just be aware that service may take a bit longer during busy hours, but the staff does their best.
Watching the restaurant, some of the challenges was not service, it was kitchen staff. I think I watched Barbara bring food back 3 times for kitchen staff issues, not her. Many times she said, the ticket asked for x and you gave me y, or this was not done right, etc…
Yes, if you are coming here for a quick in and out, not going to happen, but for someone why travels a lot, 30k miles for 2025 so far, my expectations are not high and expect longer service anywhere. Heck I have waited 20 mins just to get a chick Fil a sandwich in an airport.
Something else, it is pricey. But everything I the airport is pricey.
But if you are patient and polite, it’s a good experience.
I am sure people have had bad experience because of a poor service, rush, whatever. No discredit.
I am glad I stopped by, had awesome pizza (yes, I have had better, but this was really good), great service, and a good overall expeirence!
Thank you Barbara and Alta Strata team!
Staff working here were extremely nice to me, got my food to me promptly, and left me alone to eat, i.e. didn’t try to rush me out to turn the table over for another customer (and with the flights the people coming & going was pretty steady). Given the service alone I was happy to leave a tip for the waiter.
Pic I took was after the fact because I was hungry and forgot to take pics before eating. Yes, I wanted what I didn’t finish as leftovers.
I ordered 3 things: pizza, garlic bread, and a Mt.Dew. Yep, it was overpriced – welcome to buying ANYTHING at an airport. It was one of the few meals I’ve had at an airport that didn’t taste like reheated industrial-grade pink slime.
YMMV as always with airport dining as always. I’ll eat here again if I’m stuck at Logan and want a meal.
The crust was good, but nothing to write home about (although it tasted like it had a little sourdough in it, which was a good touch.) It was a little “bready” in a way that’s typical at places that don’t specialize in pizza, but honestly way better than my expectations for an airport. The sauce/cheese/toppings, though, were fantastic.
To the person who called theirs burnt, and posted a picture — we might have to agree to disagree on what a good Neapolitan pizza should look like, but mine also came out a bit lighter than yours.
If you’re used to high-touch restaurant service, you might find the staff a bit rushed, but frankly I’m an introvert and the only thing I care about in airport food service is efficiency, and I give them an A+.
(I guess a bunch of the other reviews found them to be understaffed and having issues during breakfast. I had dinner, and not at a peak mealtime, so I can’t speak to that.)
Oh, and to the people saying it’s overpriced… yeah, you’re probably right. I’m from the SF Bay Area, so I guess I’m used to it.
Pickle was solid. Generous portion of fries but just standard frozen fries.
All for 20.87$ (before tip) place is a rip off.
Mostly bread, very little sauce, undercooked mushrooms, so greasy and yet somehow also dry, cheese and pepperoni had 0 flavor.
A toddler could do better on accident.
I’m sure the other food is fine, just don’t order the pizza unless you really like chewy bread .
