As soon as we get there, we wait in line, we pay the $20 to get in and we head straight to the bathroom. There’s only one stall, we’re sisters, we figured it’d be easier for just both of us to go in together and knock it out the park. Mind you, there was only one girl waiting when we went in. My sister goes first, she had to change her feminine product, that took maybe 4 or 5 minutes because she had to use the bathroom as well. I go next, I have on thick tights, took me a good two minutes to shimmy them down, sit, use the toilet, and wipe.
And while I’m getting my clothes back up, we hear a heavy knock at the door and a voice asking what we were doing or to hurry up. We yell back that we are using the bathroom, and the friend outside the bathroom was also trying to tell him (whom identified himself as staff) that we’d be out in a bit ( we were about to wash our hands) and then we hear a series of “hurry up” “what are you doing in there” “i’ll break this door down” and we’re continuing to yell “we’re using the bathroom” “i’m pulling my clothes up”.
We hadn’t even washed our hands at this point, because we’re focusing on some man we don’t know, seemingly yelling at us through the door. And at one point the door opens a bit, my sister panics, and closes and locks the door. And that’s when a few momento after, this staff member whom we came to know later as “Slater(?)” or some other name sorry if I heard wrong, had broken the door down and thankfully my tights were already up because my actual costume shorts were down. Like, a section of the door, from the top to the bottom, literally came apart from the bathroom door. We saw him pick it up.
Then he told us to get out (mind you are hands aren’t washed, that would’ve took us 10 seconds). So we got our belongings and exited the bathroom, but we were shaken up and even talked about it with our friend (as two other girls went inside after us) outside the bathroom because we were also confused.
Later that night (which wasn’t by much time) we had informed two other employees (while trying to locate the owner) trying to find the owner and then the aforementioned staff member himself and his justification was that we were in there for 20 minutes (we were not, our friend informed us that it was 10-15 minutes tops), that there was a line and that we closed the door in his face.
He also remarked that he was there the entire time and to check the cameras…sir you are in a lime green shirt we would’ve seen you before we even made it to the bathroom. Sure, we were taking a bit, however, it took longer because of that whole back and forth.
I believe that situation could’ve been resolved in an entirely different way, had he just listened to our friend because apparently he couldn’t hear us, but we could hear him loud and clear. We didn’t intend to block the use of the bathroom, we just wanted to use it and go about our night, that’s it, that’s all.
And after talking to the second employee/staff member and Slater (?) outside, as the event was ending, we felt like we weren’t being taken seriously enough (except by the 1st employee we told), especially when Slater told us to “do whatever y’all want to do” in regards to us having an issue with his actions. Everyone else was fairly nice and professional, it was literally just him.
We don’t intend to go back and if we ever do, it probably won’t be for a long time or after a long deliberation.
It’s a shame I live 4,000 miles away.
It’s 99% dead no one in there, and there are creepy bouncers for younger women.
Lots of rumors of drink spiking. Most of the people who go here are 18-20 and just drunk. Something always go wrong and it’s just not fun and no where to really hang. Don’t recommend ever.
