Had lunch here after our visit to the alamo. We are not hotel guests, but were looking for a quiet place to eat. This place was delicious. Our waiter was very nice and quick. Food was great. Atmosphere was calm, which we needed after a hectic morning with lots of people. Food was delicious. My 13 year old devoured his burger and fries. The fish tacos were surprisingly good as well. There weren’t very many people there. I think it is hard to find. Would definitely go again.

This was one of the worst. Food items were not restocked often, the eggs Benedict were cold and tough and no sauce. Bacon/sausage bin was empty the entire time we were there. The salad bar area was a mess as items were dropped all over the place. The meat at the carving station was very tough. The chicken dish was virtually inedible. Almost everything was lukewarm at best. The deserts were ok. The “famous” bread pudding bin was near empty the entire time and what was left was not good. They give a warm Coke with a glass of ice. The mimosa was very warm and not drinkable. The entire buffet area was a mess with food all over from people dropping it. The server was ok but the other workers such as the cashier, egg cook, carving station person and others were talking and laughing and just leaning on the walls. Some the servers were getting plates of food and taking them out their service door. Most of the food the was never brought out during our stay manically was brought right before we left at about 15 minutes before they closed. I suspect it was so the workers would get to have the leftovers. Will not be returning. If Hampton Inn had a dinner buffet… It would be better and I will stick to Golden Corral.

Inside oldest hotel in San Antonio with beautiful entry and architecture. Good service, decent coffee, but very mediocre food. Small portion of hash browns were mushy when I asked for them crispy, one egg was over cooked and another under with my wife’s standard American breakfast order, my hollandaise underwhelming, and they served corn syrup ketchup, syrup and jellies in packets. Might have had better food at a franchised breakfast place.

Buffet is good. Sometimes you can order off menu. The mango ice cream is a must try. I am told the coffee is excellent, but I am not coffe drinker. The dining room is elegant, a step back in time. Service was friendly, helpful & attentive. I recommend this restaurant. I had ordered a Reuben at the munger bar, which is cooked in colonial, & delivered. It was very good. French fries just average, so get potatoe salad instead.

This place is just great. 2 must try things here has to be 1 the mango ice cream. It is just too delicious. The next thing is coffee, if you like coffee. It is nothing like we have tried before. It has more flavor to it. Food was great too. Portion size was just enough. But it tastes great. It is a must try place.

Amazing food and excellent staff. I got the avocado salad and tacos al carbone and every element of each dish was delicious and tied very well with the rest of the dish. I got food from the lunch menu but I read over the dinner menu and both looked great. The lunch menu prices are at $$ and dinner menu closer to $$$. However the level of service and atmosphere were those of a $$$ to $$$$ restaurent.
I can’t believe this place flew under the radar for me for until my last day in San Antonio, can’t recommend it enough.

The food was standard hotel breakfast bar food. I was hoping for a bit better, but probably shouldn’t have. The tea was good, the servers were attentive and kind…the view was to an in closed garden which was lovely.

Just had Easter Brunch, a little different than years past due to Covid, but still very delicious. Only funny negative was, my dad choose pecans with his waffles and he literally received 1/2 of a whole pecan in the center. Lol. But definitely save room for the bread pudding with rum sauce

What a ripoff. $20/person for subpar breakfast buffet.
Didn’t even have the courage to post the price at the entrance. Quite a few other guests next to us were shocked just like us.
