I stopped by Hattie B’s in midtown for a taste of the true Nashville Hot Chicken experience. Unfortunately the restaurant itself is currently closed for renovations, but luckily they have their food truck parked out front offering a limited menu. I opted for three Hot tenders, the pimento mac n cheese, and the cole slaw (in case I need to cool my mouth down). The chicken was delicious, perfectly fried, crispy but still juicy even after transporting, and the heat level was exactly what I expected. The Hot was tolerable (although I have a high heart tolerance) but enough to get my nose running – I’d recommend starting with medium for the average consumer. The mac was shockingly good. Overall the food was excellent, the guys that took my order were super helpful and friendly, I’m excited to come back once their renovations are complete!

My wife and I were in Nashville to see a show. We came here to eat because it was close to our hotel and we were so glad we did. There was a line but it was definitely worth the wait! I had the chicken sandwich medium spice and my wife had the half chicken mild spice. The chicken was literally the best I’ve ever had and all of the sides were amazing. We will definitely come to Hattie B’s every chance we get!

Staff was extremely sweet and helpful. They even gave us free drinks, which was really nice of them. The food was great overall. “Shut the Cluck Up” was way too spicy for me, but the medium level was perfect. Would definitely come back.

It’s good fried chicken. It’s also what I would call gentrified: tourist-friendly, aesthetically driven, and not all that spicy if we’re being honest. None of that is bad if your expectations are in the right place. The chicken is moist and well-seasoned and while I didn’t find any of the sides incredibly exciting, they balance out the spice from the chicken. The staff is welcoming and the line (much shorter at this location than the downtown one) moves quickly
Hattie B’s is a solid option for your hot chicken fix, but I’d go one level hotter than you think you’ll want for a truer experience.

Love “Nashville Hot” style chicken so had to try this place out. Definitely worth trying at least once. We lucked out and had no wait and got to park at the restaurant. We both had the tenders. I elected for the hot and wife had the mild. The hot is what I expected it to taste like, but could have used some more flavor. Mild taste jjust like plain tenders and no Nashville hot taste to it. Chicken arrived hit and fresh. Fries were crispy and had a good taste. Also tried the pimento Mac and cheese and it was also tasty.

Looking for the best hot chicken in Nashville?? Look no further than Hattie B’s! This spot was opened by a father and son duo over 10 years ago and they now have several locations open in the Nashville area! They are known for their juicy hot chicken tenders and sandwiches – with heat ranges from Southern to “Shut the Cluck Up”. Their sides are SPECTACULAR: pimento mac & cheese, collard greens, baked beans, and more! You have to start the meal with their loaded fries basket and then end the meal with ones of their sweets like the banana pudding or the peach cobbler cup. Because Hattie B’s is very popular, you should expect to wait a bit in line. If you want to avoid a long line, try not to go at peak times (12PM, 6/7PM). Make sure to try Hattie B’s next time you are in Nashville. PS: there is a Hattie B’s open in the airport as well!

Hattie B’s Hot Chicken in Nashville probably doesn’t need any introduction. Everybody knows this place and it’s probably on every visitor’s must do. We never fail to have Hattie B’s chicken whenever we are in town and we thought we would skip this time. As we drove away from our hotel, we just can’t resist but stopped in for lunch. Super juicy chicken, crispy fries (some of the best fries we ever had!) and southern greens. We opted for mild and the touch of heat was perfect. Such a satisfying lunch. It’s unimaginable to think of visiting Nashville without enjoying Hattie B’s!

Some like it and I’m one of those people.
Always wanting to try a Nashville Hot Chix’n sandwich, what better place then right downtown. “What the Cluck” The lady at the counter said, “Dont do it baby, iit’s not worth it” but I did it anyway.
Service… Very friendly
Sandwich, IMO…
It was just hot, no flavor, wheres the salty, sweet bitter?
Fries Excellent. Very crispy..
Cole Slaw, bland, I asked if it was vingery, or creamy . Told creamy..NOT… no flavor.
OVERALL… great place, just needed something more….

If you are in Nashville, a visit to Hattie B’s is definitely a must. I love the Half Bird Combo. It gets you 2 pieces of chicken, one leg and a breast. And you have the choice of making them differentky spiced. I preferred the Hot and Damn Hot. Remember that Damn Hot is manageable since the chicken itself is not spiced within. But trying this with nuggets is a very different ballgame. The place also has decent amount of parking and a variety of indoor and outdoor seats.

Must try restaurant if visiting Nashville!
I wasn’t sure if hot chicken was for me but it was the perfect lunch meal – we got the fried sandwich and the quarter chicken (medium) which were both so so good.
Sides were with fries, Mac and cheese and the southern greens. Fries were crinkle cut crispy and the southern greens were nicely balanced and not overpowering. The mac and cheese was okay but I’ve had better.
The hot sauce butter is sooooo good on the chicken, the skin stays crispy and seasoned v well – the chicken was tender juicy and very fresh tasting.
The Midtown branch staff were brilliant in their service, they seemed to be really enjoying themselves and the vibe was immaculate, great r&b music playing. I went back to grab a peach cobbler I had mentioned to them earlier and they let me go to the front of the line. Would go perfectly with some ice cream.
Needless to say tips a plenty!
