We tried the bbq joint as were passing through. Maybe we caught a bad day for the kitchen, but it was truly a bad experience. All the brisket cuts were overly fatty and chewy. Didn’t taste like quality meat in anyway. The chicken tasted like frozen and reheated meat. And the corn and beans were flavorless as well. Plus they were out of half the side items and fried food options.

Our VFW Post 2375 Honor Guard ate lunch at Mesquite House BBQ. Lunch was fantastic; the food, service, and atmosphere were great. They always treat our VFW Post 2375 veterans with respect and feed us extremely well. Definitely a place I would recommend.

They have a buffet line with a variety of choices. All you need to do is tell the server-side what you want and how much, and they fix your plate up. They also have a self served salad bar that is very good. And if BBQ is what you want, then they have a menu for that. The Dinosaur ribs are delicious and masterfully cooked. Owners are very nice and very much want for customers to have a wonderful experience eating there. I have been coming to eat here for almost a year and a half… 1+ 1/2 yrs… I know time flies by when you’re eating good!!! You know, they also have live music on weekends. Tasty margaritas and beer, and a really nice bar with a variety of adult beverages!! Lastly, I have shared some of my family and food pictures of how much we love Mesquite House BBQ!!

We came all the way from the RGV to try out Mesquite House BBQ. Let me tell you it was definitely worth the drive. We were greeted with such a friendly wait staff. The barbacoa was lean and flavorful. We also tried the 3 meat plate and a loaded potato…. Everything was !!! We will definitely be back.

The place is beautiful and clean. The waitresses are helpful and friendly. The food was magnificent 10/10. The ribs were delicious, tender, and juicy. The Brisket PO Boy was HUGE. It was a lot of meat and the brisket was delicious. The food was so good you didn’t even want to wipe your hands on the napkin you wanted to lick them clean. Plus the prize was pretty good it’s not expensive at all. Highly recommend.

Our first time coming to check this place out, The experience and the environment was amazing. The employee was very friendly. The most important is the food, it was amazing and just the right almond of the season and very tender and juicy. I would definitely recommend this place for your BBQ fix.

The BBQ is very good, and has good smoke flavor. I ordered the three meat plate, and I was given a generous portion of meats with two sides. I will be back the next time I’m in Kingsville!

Boyfriend and I were the only customers inside. There was a a young adult and a couple of small children(presumably the owning family) that were screaming the entire time we were there. They were out of the chicken fried steak and later came back and said the were also out of the loaded mashed potatoes. The substitute of potatoe salad was very plain only tasting of potato and egg. The ribs, imo, were not worth 30$ and the corn tasted like it was dipped in vinegar? I no longer wonder why I always see it empty.
