Walking into Brasas BBQ was an experience on its own—the smell of real charcoal hits you right at the door and instantly makes you crave BBQ. The aroma of the chicken cooking was so refreshing and authentic.
I ordered the half chicken platter, and it came in a half tray loaded with food—definitely enough to feed two people. The portions were generous, the chicken was juicy with that perfect charcoal flavor, and the vegetables were very good as well.
The service was excellent from start to finish. Friendly, fast, and welcoming.
Highly recommended if you want great portions, real charcoal-grilled flavor, and top-tier service!

Stopped in here to grab lunch. I didn’t realized it was Portuguese bbq but I’m glad I went.
The food is incredible. Got a steak, rice, and potato with peppers and onions. The steak was cooked perfect, the rice was surprisingly very good, and the potato dish was also very good. I did not take any pictures but it was presented like other pictures on the reviews. Check this place out. It’s no american bbq, it’s very different, but it’s very very good

The takeout was excellent. High quality food at a great price. We’ve hosted several parties with food trays from Brasa’s and our guests always love it.

Went into this place just based off the fact that I didn’t know the area well and I quickly searched for food near me and found this place and only quickly looked at the menu and decided to try it. I’m very glad I did because this place is great! Very nice guy at the counter, not sure if he was the owner or not but very friendly. I got the steak sandwich and fries, and it’s always a good sign when they ask you how you want your steak cooked when you’re ordering it in sandwich form. Very very delicious, it’s definitely marinated and then there’s some kind of sauce they slather on, it’s the best around by miles. My only criticism is I wish they’d trim off the fat and gristle before serving, but that alone would not stop me from ordering it again (which I will be). Can’t wait to try their other items.

Food has been good for the most time besides one time where when I ordered the chicken was burnt and it didn’t feel good. The chicken could be a bit more flavored, but overall I enjoy the whole chicken with rice and beans has a good portion of rice.

Large portions for the price. Chicken was a bit dry, but vegetables were very good. I think next time I will ask not have fries covered by main dish,causing soggy fries.

Finally got to go to this place as it was on my radar for a while and I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered full platter of Chicken Picadinho with rice and beans. Plenty of food, fast, and great service. Highly recommend and I will be going back for sure.

Leaving a five star because the food and price is unbeatable this is definitely a hidden gem in Toms River. If you are in the area I definitely recommend stopping in and ordering. There is just one thing I am a regular and I always ask for the potatoes extra crispy and it just seems like they only do it when they want. I hope that changes because that is the only request I make every single time and if it continues my business will have to go elsewhere.
