Such a beautiful café in the perfect location — right above the beach on the golf course, behind Hawaiian Homes and near the baseball park. The setting is breezy and relaxing, and you can hear the waves crashing while you eat, which makes it feel extra special.
The food is fresh and full of local flavors with a nice Asian touch. Everything is plated beautifully and tastes just as good as it looks.
The manager is amazing and makes the whole experience even better. Great food, great view, and such a peaceful vibe. Definitely worth visiting.

the front door is near the hotel entrance follow the curbside path inside – very classic old school in a good way love the hotel lobby nice usage of chairs and space = oh – Tantes menu has many stars I think Asian Fusion is a good descriptor much like Zippys they offer many beef chicken and pork primo dishes explore the menu
i had to try the Avacado Crabcakes Eggs Benedict – its the thing here – very tasty dipping home fries into egg yolk is yummo crabcakes very tasty –
the Angus Cheeseburger with fries was primo 10/10 bravo!
Oxtail Soup had a ton of meat and the doggie is getting a bone bonus.

Stumbled on this place and it was amazing. It looks like a dive municipal golf course clubhouse, and really that’s kind of what it is… except the food and service are amazing and it is the best price on the island. Plus a great view. I had the mahi mahi sandwich. The sauce on it blew me away. Just perfect and the fish was cooked perfectly. Came with a nice Caesar salad. The gentleman serving us was interesting, kind, and humble.
Just an amazing experience and somehow our bill was just $25 before tip for two. Unexpectedly great experience. Had my doubts walking in, but ended up being one of my top dining experiences on Maui

Tantes Cafe is truly one of those hidden gems that deserves way more recognition. This little hole-in-the-wall opened back in March. The food is amazing, fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with so much care. You can tell everything is done with heart. The service is just as incredible. Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, not rushed or forced. And the owner? One of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, welcoming, passionate, and clearly proud of what he has built. This place deserves all the love and support ❤️

Came here after our horseback ride just a few miles away. I was looking for somewhere that had plate lunch. Came to Tante’s and so glad we did. The view is incredible and the food was just what I was in the mood for. The kids loved it too. Towards the end of our lunch the owner, Jim, came over and asked us how everything was going such a nice genuine person and we learned the backstory of how he came to open up this restaurant just 5 months prior. Go here and support a small local business and get your tummy fed!!

We had an amazing dinner at this unassuming golf course restaurant. The owner Jim was so welcoming and kind, and the food was amazing. Recommend the coconut shrimp and wings for appetizers, and the ribs were seriously to die for! Fall off the bone and perfectly seasoned. Affordable prices too. We sat and enjoyed a beautiful view of the golf course and ocean. Would definitely recommend and return again.
