Chef Baldee’s Pizza is open for business six days a week Tuesday-Sunday 11-2pm and 5-7pm for #PIZZABYAPPOINTMENT. You place your order on the Facebook page or call/text your order to (913) 605-0988 then arrive 25 minutes later to pickup your pizza hot and fresh right out of the oven. WE CATER! If you order four or more pizzas 24-hours in advance we will deliver anywhere within Saint Joseph with The Private Pizza Party Delivery (*additional fee/contract required). The signature spicy/sweet sauce is patterned after a 50-year old family recipe made with marsala red wine, fresh garlic, oregano and ten other ingredients. It’s spicy and sweet and robust. First off Absolutely Delicious Pizza. Definitely New York Style. His Homemade Pizza Sauce is close to Perfection. His Pizzas are perfectly cooked, when ordering you can ask for specialized cook time to get to desired crispness or golden perfection. His Pizzas are loaded with toppings (all the way to the crust), some of which are locally sourced. Chef Baldee has a great personality and his hospitality is spot on to traditional southern comfort charm. Amazing prices ($20 base price) which is a very large pizza. Additional toppings are only $1 each which is a steal. It seems like a strange area for a pizza food truck but it’s a very cute industrial area. A Great spot for a date night. He has a fold up table and chairs to enjoy your pizza on site. Dog Friendly. Overall Wonderful Pizza, I would argue a contender for best pizza in KC.

This pizza was great! This would probably be my Wife’s favorite if in our home town! Cooked perfectly! Great toppings with lots of cheese. The deluxe is 17 inch and $42 plus tip ( Support local and always tip) so it’s not big chain prices but worth it!

Oh my. Pizza Heaven! I arrived a bit early, found a shady spot and waited for my pick up time. Chef started texting me pics. Pizza going in or coming out of the oven. Order was ready early! The minute you walk up you know this is gonna be good. Chef greeted me and I was so overwhelmed by the wonderful, delectable smell emanating from the inside of his truck I asked if I could come in. Chef actually reached for the door to open it. I politely declined his offer and proceeded to lose myself in the mouthwatering aroma. As my pizzas were finishing in the oven Chef explained to me he’d put both pizzas in one box. He had a system and it worked. Kudos to Chef for reducing pizza box waste! I had about 40 minuets of drive before we’d get to enjoy so I had wrapped the box in a blanket and pizza was still hot when I arrived. That wonderful aroma still driving me mad I finally had my slice. I knew, first bite, this was good I mean good pizza. The sauce. The sauce is completely unique and delicious. Rare for pizza. Great flavor profile and just the right bite. Crust is light, crunchy and complements what are high quality toppings and Chef don’t skimp. Pepperoni was loaded and the Houston was a great combo! You might notice, if you scroll through my past reviews, I am not kind to places with bad pizza. This wasn’t one of those. Get down to see Chef! Go now! Make the trip it is so worth it! One final note. Just as good next day.

Positives- The pizza was great. Loved the thinness, sauce, taste of the toppings and the cheese put on last. The combination of those 4 things were spot-on. I don’t eat pizza crust, but took a bite and it is crispy, light, and not doughy. I didn’t not feel stuffed and bloated after eating it.
Negative- In my opinion, it’s overpriced. It’s just not a $30 pizza and I more than likely won’t order again because of that. It’s a pizza that I’d pay $20 for, but understand that inflation and coat of goods have caused everything to go up. I give it an overall rating of 4 out of 5.
The owner’s friendliness and pizza will hopefully keep people coming back.
