Amidst dozens of neighborhood sushi restaurants along Ventura in Studio City / Sherman Oaks this unassuming small space next to Jinky’s really stands out with incredible fish quality. The chef takes some creative steps to kick up some dishes with garnishes such as chili crisp on Toro sashimi that elevate the already fantastic bite. The menu has a huge selection away from sushi including scrumptious shishito peppers, udon soup, and a lovely take on a wagyu beef nigiri that astounds.
Please consider making this your every day drop in sushi joint. Service will not disappoint, and the chef sits calmly poised at the sushi bar / counter, happy to talk through his preparations.

I had a deeply disappointing experience at this establishment. The service was exceptionally poor from the outset, with prolonged delays before we finally received our food. When our meals did arrive, the quality was substandard.
The fish was clearly not fresh and had an unpleasantly chewy texture accompanied by an overpowering fishy odor that should never characterize properly handled seafood.
Adding to my concerns, I overheard staff members calling a town car service for patrons, which raised questions about potential kickback arrangements between the restaurant and the transportation company. This practice, if confirmed, reflects poorly on the establishment’s business ethics and suggests a prioritization of financial incentives over customer service.
Based on the combination of inadequate service, poor food quality, and questionable business practices, I cannot recommend this restaurant and would caution others considering dining here

Sushi is always a delicious choice, but it can be tricky to know which spots are worth your time and money.
Was around Sherman Oaks area and I saw that there’s good feedback at this restaurant so we decided to check it out
This spot has from traditional sushi to Mexican fusion in em. If that’s what you’re looking for then definitely check them out! The owners have both combined have 30+ years of experience so I think you’re in for a treat when you visit 🙂

Very nice place we went in when they opened at 5 so we were the only ones. Waiters answered all of our questions and explained the menu to us. The Rolls were delicious and the short Rib was my favorite would definitely order again.

I’m not sure why they don’t have a higher rating here as the sushi chef is amazing. He’s from Japan and the pride he has for preparing amazing sushi is admirable for sure. I’ve only been once but it was so fantastic and I’m looking forward to going back soon!
