A beautiful place with very pleasant service. We ordered fish soup, which was quite rich in flavour, with lots of different spices, and I couldn’t finish the whole bowl. Fuagra was also great. We also had the fish of the day, fillet with sauce, but there were bones in it. When we told the waiter, they said they would pass it on to the chef, and that was it. The dessert tart tatin was also good, but a little too sweet for our taste. The Niçoise salad was delicious.

I had the roasted duck and it was amazing. The meat was perfectly cooked, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The sauce was rich and flavorful, balancing the dish beautifully.

Everything about our visit was exceptional — from the innovative flavour combinations to the warm, stylish ambience. The staff struck the perfect balance between friendly and professional, and the pacing of each course was spot on. The wine selection was carefully curated and paired beautifully with our meal. The standout? A raspberry and champagne soufflé that was nothing short of spectacular — the perfect finale to a flawless evening.

We came on the evening of October 12, 2025. Myself and my partner had visited twice before on our long weekend in Malta twice before for drinks but always wanted to try the food so visited this evening. One of the waiters recognised us twice (sorry, didn’t catch your name), but service was exemplary. We had a bottle of 1919 rosé wine and the chateaubriand… and wow, it was amazing. The food and the service was nothing short of superb, the restaurant is on the main strip in Mellieha so surprised it wasn’t more busy than it was. Would definitely recommend for the food, drink and service. Nothing on our 3-day trip to Malta surpassed this. Incredibly impressed. 5 stars.

Our evening at Colette Restaurant in Mellieħa was simply unforgettable – a true diamond among dining experiences. From the very first moment, the staff showed incredible kindness and hospitality: although we arrived without a reservation, they still managed to find us a beautiful table, setting the tone for a perfect romantic dinner.
We shared a fine bottle of French wine and indulged in a superb meal – fresh fish, crisp salads, and perfectly prepared meat dishes, each plate full of flavor and elegance. To crown the evening, the desserts were out of this world: a rich chocolate mousse, delicate profiteroles, a silky crème brûlée, and other sweet delights that left us absolutely speechless.
The entire atmosphere, the care of the staff, and the quality of the food make this place shine far above five stars. We will happily return again and again – Colette is pure perfection in Mellieħa.
