Three years later, and I’m back with an update I honestly didn’t expect to write.
The quality at Hibachi Express has gone downhill. We visited on Valentine’s Day and immediately noticed the pricing did not match what was listed online. Every entrée that day ranged from $15.95 to $19.95. If there’s holiday pricing, it should be clearly reflected online. Transparency matters.
They now charge $1.50 per additional vegetable beyond the cabbage included with the meal. The rice portion was excessive and took up most of the container. My chicken was overcooked, and my seasoning somehow ended up in the shrimp. I’m pollo-pescatarian, and within 30 minutes, I was dealing with gastrointestinal issues. It felt like there was no separation between proteins, which led to cross-contamination and likely contributed to my getting sick.
My husband ordered steak, chicken, and shrimp. He said the steak was overly salty and that both the steak and the chicken were overcooked. Our son ordered steak and chicken hibachi and was so dissatisfied that he ordered steak tacos from another restaurant afterward. Another son ordered the salmon hibachi. The salmon was thin, heavily covered in sauce, overcooked, and the packaging looked sloppy.
We spent over $100, excluding the separate order from another restaurant, and as of 2/15, all four containers are still mostly full. That tells you everything.
I will be contacting the business to share this experience directly. For that price point, we expected properly prepared and cooked food, transparent pricing, and safe food-handling practices. Unfortunately, this location is no longer on our list.
**UPDATE** After my visit, I reviewed recent Marion County Health Department inspection reports and noted multiple critical violations related to improper food holding temperatures, cooling practices, and storage. While violations were reportedly corrected at the time, this added to my concern, given my experience.

Hibachi is a go to! We normally order from Tomo but saw this spot pop up on DoorDash! Glad we went for it because the food was 10/10! Food when delivered was still hot.
Very fulfilling and the side of cabbage with the hibachi was a nice touch!! The YumYum & ginger dressings were tasty! Our sides were good as well. Not sure where they are located exactly but looking to try them in person soon as well. Highly recommend!

Loveeee their food, especially for the way you perceive them first going in their way better than you would expect my steak was cooked perfectly as as my chicken and rice Yum Yum Yum sauce is bomb. To top it off you get so much food. It’s really worth the price.

I just finished my first meal from here and I will definitely be back. It was an amazing amount of food for the price AND it was tasty, good quality food. Plus they have good napkins, which is a small thing, but it matters! The decor is very nice and the whole place was very clean. Very friendly service as well. This is a wonderful addition to the area!

The Restaurant was empty, but does a ton of DoorDash or GrubHub or Uber eats orders. The bell ringing will frustrate you with annoyance if you dine in, but the food comes out really fast and hot. I ordered the hibachi salmon and I wish it was bigger with the price I paid $1299.

The service was nice, I ordered the steak hibachi medium rare, the steak was cooked great, but there wasn’t a lot of it. Unfortunately there was little to no seasoning on the entire dish. The rice, onions, and cabbage were very bland. I was also disappointed that there were no other vegetables, most of the time zucchini, mushrooms, or broccoli would be included. This just was an overall bland dish.

Where do I start! First we walked in it took 3 minutes for anyone to speak to us. I knew that i should have left then. Second they didn’t have any water. And last by not less i ordered chicken hibachi and I got chicken and rice with some cabbage. Never again! Oh yeah, there was a lady behind waiting to get her food that she ordered over the phone and a guy walked in after her and when over to the side and they greeted him and give him his order before the lady.
