Shankey On The Water

A great find while we were camping at Lillydale. They were on a skeleton crew when we visited, but our server Barb (the only server there at the time) and the kitchen staff did not let that slow them down. We were seated quick, communicated with often, served quickly and to top it off the food was delicious! The onion rings are some of the best i’ve ever had. We highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.

What a fun place, great atmosphere AND great service! We had drinks (great Long Island Ice Tea) upstairs overlooking the water. Chris and Christy took care of us, both were excellent and very personable! We had a variety of food starting with an appetizer of peel and eat shrimp. All were good. We also enjoyed the live music! Great place to hang out. We will be going back on our next trip!

Let me start off by saying the server was great. The food was mediocre and when we ate their they had no drink menu and no posted Prices we get our first drink In a 8 oz cup you would get from a fast food place if you ordered a water and the one I had was weak so we ordered doubles from then on 10 drinks total to be exact but we we’re definitely in shock when we got the bill and the 8 oz double margaritas were 22$ each and the cheapest brand liquor you can find I definitely expected to pay more for being on the water but not 240 dollars the manager did come take some off the bill which we definitely appreciated and blamed not having a menu because she was busy and in college and didn’t have time to get one ready but they sure had time to make 22 dollar drinks we definitely won’t be back

Pet friendly! The food we had was absolutely fantastic! We were told the Chef is from the Bahamas and the waitress recommended the scallops. They were really great! We have gone several times in the past week and have tried the Oysters Rockefeller, scallops, French onion soup, asparagus, tuna, salad and calamari. The only thing we won’t order again is the calamari. It isn’t fresh breaded and doesn’t taste very good. The fish comes in fresh twice a week and we have been impressed with all are other dishes. One of the best restaurants on Dale Hollow Lake for sure!

The absolute best food on Dale Hollow Lake! And, as good a meal you could find about anywhere else. Their Seared Scallops are the most tender and best tasting scallops we’ve ever had. And we eat a lot of seafood! The Ahi Tuna appetizer is amazingly good, too. They have live music during the peak lake months from talented entertainers. Great place!

The food was excellent. My sister loved her Mahi Mahi, and I very much enjoyed my shrimp in the cream sauce. Our server was excellent. We ate indoors because it looked like rain. People outside were smoking, and I could smell the smoke inside. I’m glad we didn’t eat outside.

Great food and view! We were in the area visiting Standing Stone State park and ate here both nights. The scallops were amazing and we also enjoyed the ahi tuna appetizer and the blackened mahi mahi.
