1 star is generous…if there’s an option for Negative star that’s what I would give. My goup walked in @1045 Saturday Morning – restaurant was empty including servers. After about 5 min Heard somebody talking in the back kitchen so I took a peek, I found a lady there kinda peeking at us talking on the phone. She told us to wait one minute…she peeked out 5 minutes later and said 1 more minute still on the phone and that somebody was coming. We walked out 10 minutes later when no one came out to see us. Ended up eating across the street at Por Favor…it was amazing

My lady and I came here for breakfast after a long trip. Nice quiet place with great atmosphere. The food was pretty good and the coffee was great. My lady tried the baklava. She has never tried it before. She very much enjoyed it. I look forward to trying lunch at this place.

The atmosphere in this place was amazing! Great staff, welcoming environment and delicious food! The pistachio late is to die for and you absolutely have to try the baklava. Its a super cute place for a date night or brunch with friends. If i could give this place more than 5 stars I would.

Located in the heart of El Cajon, Sultan is vibrant with Turkish design and filled with an amazing selection of foods! I had the pleasure of meeting the owner who recommended I try the Turkish coffee (extra strong and how I like it), the pistachio latte, and cappuccino for my mom. The pistachio latte is unique and cannot be replicated. It has a toasted nutty profile and really puts Starbucks to shame 12/10 recommend! For breakfast, I got to try the Turkish version of eggs and sausage served with pita bread and a chicken salad for my mom with plenty of food left over. For dessert I went next door to try some Turkish delicacies also part of the same establishment and had the baklava cheesecake which was so unique – crunchy earth flavor from the baklava flakes with a soft tangy cream was to die for. I also tried the berry pudding that was lightly sweetened and filled with fresh fruits. I’ll definitely make another trip back soon!

I ate the Beyti Kebab, and it was very delicious. Sultan Restaurant easily has the best Mediterranean cuisine in San Diego. It is well priced and has excellent service. The restaurant is very clean, and I am 100% sure you’ll have a great experience from such an amazing restaurant.

We found this place while attended the car show held on Main Street in El Cajon. This place has delicious coffee, specialty lattes (favorite is the pistachio), and Turkish coffee. The owner is there most days and has always made us feel welcome by remembering us when we return. The setup is really gorgeous with a red bench, dangling chandelier in the center, and beautifully carved wooden tables with glass frames.

Good coffee, incredible baklava even have sugar free or honey only options. Seems family owned, this is a 5-star place with great food and reasonable prices.

Such a charming Mediterranean restaurant! From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly greeted by the beautiful decor that lovingly paid tribute to the restaurant’s Turkish roots.

The food was an absolute highlight, leaving us craving more. We had the Suculsku Yumurta and Menemen and it was evident that these dishes were prepared fresh and with utmost care. They tasted like home cooking which, for us living on the road, is a welcome change from other restaurants. The portions were well-sized and satisfying. That coupled with the taste makes the price point beyond worth it for us ($20-$25 per dish).

The staff/owners deserve accolades for their outstanding hospitality. They were not only genuinely kind and welcoming, but also extremely knowledgeable about their menu. Their recommendations for what to try were spot on and added an extra layer of enjoyment.

My only suggestion to enhance the ambiance would be to have some Mediterranean/Turkish music playing in the background. This would immerse diners even more deeply in the culture and complement the overall dining experience.

Overall, this is now one of my favorite restaurants to visit in El Cajon. We’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in the area.
