we reserved seats at the bar for a friday night and were seated right away. excellent service from the bartender ( i think her name was Beth?) she was knowledgeable and helpful. our specialty cocktails were good and the Arancini was delicious, along with the fettuccine Alfredo and spaghetti…and we found the Caesar salad to be a stand out. of note, i do not eat meat there was really only one appetizer, one salad and one entree that were safe, and there no vegetables available to add to the pasta instead of meat proteins. i still rated five stars because everything that I did have was delicious, and The service was great.

Kelly waited on us and was truly wonderful. Several of the other employees were drinking at the bar when not busy with their respective customers. The building is beautiful with great potential. We stood in line to enter; the door was locked despite our presence during open hours. The family at the beginning of the line ended up calling to see what was going on. They were simply not timely and opened soon thereafter. The flooring was a lovely wood and tile combo. The chairs were dirty with food, I’m guessing from the day prior since they opened late to allow us to dine. There was food and dirt on the floors. There was sauce on the walls. There were layers of dirt on the baseboards. There were nails sticking out of the molding. The place needed painting. A space heater was on the host stand to welcome people in. My bread plate was dirty. Fake flowers hung from the ceiling and words were on the walls to give it a casual feel, I’m guessing. The red sauce was good. The meatballs were good. The best part of the food was the sausage, but that is made elsewhere; they heated it up though. The music was pop rock. I recommend dining elsewhere if you want Italian fare.

Amanda Serafini Hughes Serafini’s did not disappoint. I went Saturday night. The sauce is fabulous. The international bakery bread is warm and tastes like it just came out of the oven. I do like a little more “olivey” dipping sauce with fresh herbs but don’t let that deter you. Huge wine selection including local winery favorites. I got a glass of “diamond”. ( I could care less when they say what wine goes with what.) The homemade everything was a treat for their grand opening. Other than my table being switched from the reservation location, noone would have guessed they just opened. Noone! The service was great! I loved my wedding soup (tastes like mine; I’m very picky on soup. It’s heavy on flavor.) Amanda was serving plates and checking on guests. She made the atmosphere even more warm and inviting. It’s lovely inside. She encouraged me to take a walk around and it definitely made me want to come back. I hope you love it too. It really is on track to be everything we all hoped it would be. Ps…my lasagna was definitely enough to bring home. Oh and the “Italian sushi” was a fun take on sushi and my son enjoyed those leftovers with the other 2/3 of my lasagna. Pics don’t do it justice. Reserve your seat! You won’t regret it.

We had an amazing dinner!! Trish our server was fantastic, we came in to eat the day after Valentine’s Day so obviously it was super busy but she had a great attitude throughout our entire time dining, she was very attentive and we needed for nothing because she was on top of it!! She also went above and beyond for a special request we had on the fly and made it happen and we couldn’t be more appreciative!! Oh and the food was SO yummy!!! It was well worth our time and money and if you want the best dining experience ask for Trish!!!!

Absolutely incredible experience at Serafini’s!
The food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality were all top-notch. You can truly feel the family history and love behind every dish — from the famous meatballs to the house-made pasta and wine selection, everything was perfection.
The space is beautiful, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and you can tell the whole team cares deeply about bringing this Erie classic back to life. It’s the kind of place where every guest feels like family.
So happy to see Serafini’s back in downtown Erie — can’t wait to come again soon! ❤️

Very nice replacement for the Brick steakhouse. Reservations were a bit tricky, but are recommended. The decor is very upscale with nice ambiance.
Food was very good, not exceptional, but everyone was fully satisfied with their dish. Portions were good, but not the huge piles some restaurants push to justify their price points. Did not get a chance at the desserts, but maybe next time. Hopefully they’ll have angel hair or vermicelli as an option then, too.
The signature Old Fashioned had a touch too much Ammaretto but was still tasty, and one the ice melted a bit everything was fine. The wine selection was very good. I really appreciated the mix of both Italian and local options.

My husband and I were in Erie visiting our daughter and wanted to try out this new restaurant downtown. It did not disappoint. We had arancini, Italian sushi, lasagna, and pasta Alfredo. Everything was delicious. We did not know the history of the Serafini family restaurant business but we were so delighted to learn about that history from the restaurant owner Amanda who stopped by our table to visit and tell us how this restaurant came to be. She is so warm and inviting as is this restaurant. It is so cozy and beautifully decorated. Can’t wait to go back.

Great atmosphere and our waitress and staff were very nice and friendly. I ordered the rigatoni with meat sauce and the rigatoni was undercooked. It was better the next day reheated at least. I wasn’t a fan of having to swat away fruit flies while I was trying to eat as well as having to walk through the kitchen where they were preparing food to get to the bathrooms. Also the fact the bathrooms were right there off the kitchen was weird to me.

I’m not from here so I have no nostalgic thoughts about “the old Serafini’s” like everyone else in Erie. The meatballs and arancini were great. And that was about it. The menu is incredibly small. They were out of lasagna and just about every type of red wine, which is good for the business, bad for the customer. Pizza was a 4/10 at best. Two Alfredo’s that looked like completely different dishes. Table next to us had to get up to find a waiter/waitress to take their order. Atmosphere and decorations were great though. Place has potential, but the first impression was definitely lacking.
