So tasty! The menu is simple and it revolves around meat, glorious meat. We ordered the tri-tip burger and the bacon cheddar and tri-tip sandwich. Both excellent choices, the meat was cooked perfectly and the fries were crispy and delicious. The restaurant wasn’t too busy and the serving staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the food. I highly recommend this place if you are itching for some tasty tri-tip.

The last time I came here, a salesperson from another restaurant (one that had closed because of a fire) was talking with the hostess (possibly the manager) about the reopening. I waited five minutes for the hostess to seat me. When it was clear that she was busy entertaining a salesperson instead of welcoming a customer, I decided the burger place next door deserved my business more. (Lesson for Buckhorn: Customers are sales. Salespeople come second.)

Got the 15.99 tri tip platter. First, while the girl working the register was taking my order, another male employee interrupted to flirt with her. C’mon, not while she’s with customers, dude! Second, I ordered my tri tip medium rare and when I received it it was well done. I’m wondering if they only cook the meat one way, and if so, why do they bother to ask how you want it cooked? In general, the food was alright, but bland. It was more quantity than quality. I described it to my friend as ‘nice cafeteria food’. Definitely not worth $16!

I got the tri-tip platter today. It came with delicious “red mashers”, roasted veggies that included zucchini, asparagus, corn on the cob and bell peppers as well as a cornbread muffin that has corn kernels in it. The tri-tip tastes smoked and it was tender with just the right amount of fat around some edges. Wonderful if you like smoked food. I personally used the BBQ sauce with it as the smoked flavor is not my favorite. I enjoyed the whole meal and will be coming back again.

Food is awesome its got great combo meals and its very flavorful. However didn’t earn its 5th star due to pricing of food. Not to say that I wouldn’t eat here again just not as often as I’d like to.
